| The new era requires further deepening educational reform and developing quality education.School sports should pay attention to cultivating students’ comprehensive ability,guide students to establish the concept of "health first",educate students to actively participate in physical exercise,master basic sports knowledge and skills,improve sports cultural literacy,and give play to the function of sports education.Taking the application of PBL teaching method in college calisthenics elective courses as the research object,using the literature method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,teaching experiment method and mathematical statistics method,56 students of the 2022 calisthenics elective course of Wenhua College were selected to be divided into experimental group and control group,the experimental group adopted PBL teaching method,and the control group adopted traditional teaching method.Through research and analysis,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)The test scores of 50 m running,standing long jump,sitting forward bending,one-minute sit-up/pull-up and 800m/1000 m index test results of the experimental group and the control group were all improved after the experiment,but there was no significant difference between the groups.It shows that both PBL pedagogy and traditional pedagogy can improve students’ physical fitness.(2)In terms of aerobics learning interest,problem-solving ability and cooperation ability between the experimental group and the control group,the experimental group before and after the experiment was significantly improved,and the control group did not significantly improve,and there were significant differences between the two groups after the experiment.This shows that PBL pedagogy has significant effects in improving students’ interest in aerobics,problem-solving ability and cooperation ability.(3)After the experiment,there were significant differences in the set of creation,venue space and formation,technical skills and consistency between the experimental group and the control group in the assessment of calisthenics skills,but there were no significant differences between music and expression.It shows that the PBL teaching method is conducive to students’ mastery of calisthenics skills,especially the ability to create.(4)The application of PBL pedagogy in the teaching of elective courses in colleges and universities should emphasize the importance of students’ learning continuity,interaction and elaboration,promote students’ active learning,improve their interest in learning,improve students’ motivation for course selection,and promote the development of calisthenics projects.(5)Compared with the traditional teaching method of PBL teaching method,in the traditional teacher-led teaching method,students are passive learning and their enthusiasm in the classroom is not high.The PBL pedagogy is student-led in the teaching process,and group cooperative inquiry is carried out,so that students can master aerobics skills in the process of problem solving,give full play to students’ autonomy,improve classroom participation,and be more conducive to students’ all-round development. |
