Research objectives:In recent years, the detection rate of overweight among adolescent students continues to increase and tends to be younger.10-12 years old is the key period of growth and development, but also the sensitive period of physical development,is the best period for exercise intervention. This study conducted exercise intervention for overweight students aged 10-12 years old through flower ball cheerleading teaching, which could not only deeply study the sports value of cheerleading, but also explore whether flower ball cheerleading can produce effect on weight loss of overweight students and improve their physical fitness, and provide objective theoretical reference for mental health education of overweight students.Research methods:In this paper, questionnaire survey, expert interview, experiment and mathematical statistics are used to study the physical quality and mental toughness of overweight students aged 10-12 years old in Yulin Experimental Primary School. The experimental group(20 boys and 20 girls)and the control group(20 boys and 20 girls)were set respectively.Indicators of body shape(height, body weight,bmi,waist-hip ratio, percent body fat),physical function(vital capacity, blood pressure, resting heart rate, step index),body constitution(50m race, sitting body forward bending,one-minute rope skipping,one-minute sit-ups)and resilience(goal planning, positive thinking, affect control,help-seeking,family support)were taken before and after the experiment test and collate the obtained data for intra-group comparison and inter-group comparison. Results :1.After the experiment, the body mass index of the students in the experimental group and the control group decreased, and there was a significant difference compared with that before the experiment(P < 0.05),among which the height growth of the girls in the experimental group was significantly different from that before the experiment(P < 0.01),and the height of the girls in the control group increased compared with that before the experiment, showing a significant difference(P < 0.05);the percent body fat in the experimental group and the control group decreased significantly compared with that before the experiment, indicating that the body fat content decreased, showing a significant difference compared with that before the experiment(P < 0.05).After the experiment, the waist-to-hip ratio and body fat percentage of boys and girls in the experimental group were better than those in the control group, and there were significant differences(P < 0.05).2.After the experiment, the vital capacity and step index of the students in the experimental group and the control group were improved, which was significantly different from that before the experiment(P < 0.05);there was no significant difference in resting heart rate and blood pressure between the two groups before and after the experiment. After the experiment, the comparison between the two groups found that in the vital capacity index, the scores of the experimental group were better than those of the control group, and there was a significant difference(P < 0.05);in the step index index, the scores of girls in the experimental group were better than those in the control group, showing a significant difference(P < 0.05).3.The physical healthy indexes of the students in the experimental group were significantly improved after the experiment, and there was a significant difference before and after the experiment(P < 0.05).Compared with before the experiment, the scores of 50 m race and one-minute sit-ups of boys in the control group were significantly improved, and there was a significant difference before and after the experiment(P < 0.05);after the experiment, the scores of 50 m race,one-minute rope skipping and one-minute sit-ups of girls in the control group improved significantly compared with those before the experiment, with significant differences(P < 0.05).After the experiment, the scores of sit-and-reach and one-minute skipping in the experimental group were better than those in the control group, and there was a significant difference(P < 0.05).The body forward bending performance of girls in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and there was a significant difference(P < 0.05).4.After the experiment, the total score of psychological resilience in the experimental group was significantly higher than that before the experiment, and the difference was very significant(P < 0.01);among them, the dimensions of goal focus, positive cognition, emotional control and interpersonal relationship were significantly improved after the experiment(P < 0.05).After the experiment, the total score of psychological resilience in the control group was improved compared with that before the experiment, showing a significant difference(P < 0.05).Among them, goal focus, positive cognition and interpersonal relationship were significantly improved(P < 0.05).After the experiment, there was a significant difference in the total score of psychological resilience between the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01),among which there were significant differences in the improvement of goal focus dimension, positive cognitive dimension and interpersonal relationship dimension(P < 0.05).Research conclusions :1.The study of flower ball cheerleading has a significant effect on the body mass index, body fat percentage and waist-to-hip ratio of overweight students.2.The ball cheerleading learning can significantly improve the lung capacity and step index of overweight students, and promote the development of students’ cardiopulmonary function.3.The learning of flower ball cheerleading can significantly improve the speed quality, strength quality, flexibility quality and coordination ability of upper and lower limbs of overweight students.4.The effect of flower ball cheerleading on improving the psychological resilience of overweight students is very significant, and the effect of goal focus, positive cognition, emotional control and interpersonal relationship is obvious.
