Research On The Optimization Strategy Of The Training System Of Xi’an Physical Education University Basketball Referees

With the rapid development of basketball in China,basketball refereeing work is also facing new opportunities and challenges.Xi’an is the most developed city in the five northwest provinces,in which basketball is widely promoted with galloped-ahead basketball refereeing work.Sports colleges and universities,as the cradle for cultivating high-level basketball referees,have the conditions and foundation to cultivate high-level basketball referees.Xi’an Physical Education University,as the only sports college in five northwestern provinces,has trained and delivered a large number of basketball referees for the northwest region.It is also an important training base for basketball referee in Shaanxi Province.For the past few years,students in our school have been encountering various problems in officiating,such as lack of clinical experience and nervousness.Moreover,the referee training system has not been studied since the basketball referee training work was launched in our school.Therefore,this paper takes the optimization strategy of basketball referee training system in Xi’an Physical Education University as the research object,and the lecturers and students of basketball referee training course in this university as the respondents.The research methods of literature,questionnaire,and statistical combing were used to investigate and analyze the basketball referee training system of Xi’an Physical Education University,in which the training system includes: training objectives,training contents,curriculum,assessment contents,management and promotion,etc.The problems in the existing training system of the university were identified,and corresponding solutions and improvement opinions were proposed.Research Findings:The existing training system of basketball referees in Xi’an Physical Education University does not clearly specify the training objectives,and the teachers have different views on the training objectives of referees at different levels,which may lead to variable training directions.The use of training materials is relatively singular.The university has been using the Basketball Rules,Basketball Referee Law.And,the learning materials for each level of training is not divided,which is not conducive to the targeted use of materials for students at all levels,as well as can not adapt to the diversity of basketball matches.The training content of basketball referees in our school is reasonable.However,with the development of various new basketball matches,the training content is slightly lagging behind.Students have problems with officiating nervousness,improper handling of special situations,and improper teamwork and communication in on-campus and off-campus practice.In the theoretical assessment,only the percentage of points of Basketball Rules and Referee Law are given for each level,and there is no distribution for each specific theoretical contents,so that the students have no review focus after the class.In practice assessment,there are no clear scoring rules for each grade,and most of them are assessed subjectively by invigilators.Without clear scoring items and scores,it is easy to get confused,resulting in mistakes in scoring that bring inconvenience to both students and teachers.The lack of basketball games in our university means that students do not have the opportunity to play in formal games.So,they are not able to improve their experience through practice.
