Abstract/Summary:
With the continuous development of the society, the maturity of students is much earlier than that of the previous generation.Senior students in the primary school stage of compulsory education are about to enter adolescence. As a special group in the society, they are faced with a series of important problems such as mastering knowledge, going to higher schools and developing interests.Due to the existence of various factors, senior primary school students have problems such as unsound personality development, ability to withstand setbacks is not strong. Therefore, more attention should be paid to the mental health quality of the senior students of primary school in compulsory education. As an important part of school sports, campus football activities can become an effective way to promote students to enhance their mental health quality. In the process of football activities, fierce confrontation, frequent conversion of attack and defense, the formation of players’ attention and awareness of rules, will and other psychological qualities have good effects.Students need to face different degrees of challenges and difficulties in class and after class,so that students can strengthen their confidence in football, gain a sense of football experience, and experience the joy of winning or the pain of losing in football matches. The psychology of students in this age group is bound to change positively.Based on this, this study takes campus football activities as an intervention implementation means to explore its influence on the mental health quality of students at this stage. This paper adopts the method of literature, questionnaire, experiment and mathematical statistics, and takes campus football activity as the intermediary to explore its influence on the mental health quality of Grade 5 and 6 students in Zaoyuan Primary School of Yan ’an City. This study focuses on using teaching experiment method and questionnaire survey method to intervene in campus football activities for 20 weeks in Zaoyuan Primary School of Yan ’an City. The fifth and sixth grade students are divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group adopts the detailed curriculum plan of the school with campus football characteristics planned by the human education edition of "Primary and Secondary School Football Series".The control group followed the primary school Level 3 physical education teaching program outline stipulated by the Ministry of Education, and the activity programs of the experimental group and the control group were taught by in-service physical education teachers of Zaoyuan Primary School,so as to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the football activity program and regular classroom teaching implementation by physical education teachers of Zaoyuan Primary School. The widely used "Adolescent Mental Health Quality Questionnaire" and "Primary School Mental Health Rating Scale(MHRSP)" were used as measuring tools.Questionnaires were distributed online and offline at the same time, and were filled out by the tested students and their parents before and after the experiment.SPSS.27 was used to sort out the data. After data processing, analysis and discussion, the following conclusions are drawn:1.Generally speaking, after 20 weeks of football intervention, the mental health quality level of the experimental group of students in Grade 5 and 6 of Zaoyuan Primary School has been significantly improved, and their scores in five dimensions have been improved compared with before the experiment.2.After the intervention of football activities, the adaptation and interpersonal quality of the fifth and sixth grade have been significantly improved; In addition, the sixth grade also showed positive results in terms of personality quality.3.After the intervention of football activities, boys score higher than girls in the dimensions of adaptation, self and coping style, while girls score higher than boys in the dimensions of interpersonal quality and personality quality. Both male and female students showed significant improvement in adaptation, self and coping style.4.Parents believe that football intervention can improve students’ learning, emotions and bad habits, but it has not achieved good results in the formation of character and moral character, social adaptation behavior and other aspects. This paper holds that the main factors affecting the mental health quality of the fifth and sixth grade students in Zaoyuan Primary School are as follows: the in-service football teachers in the school have a low level of professional psychological skills, the methods and means of mental health quality education are relatively simple, and the influence of external factors such as family and society.Based on the above conclusions, the following suggestions are put forward: First, school education should play a central role in guiding students through the critical stage of mental health development.Secondly, football teachers should change the single teaching methods and means in the past, adopt diversified and interesting teaching methods and means, and constantly infiltrate the behavioral requirements and psychological requirements into the daily football teaching and competition process,so as to promote the psychological health quality level of students to a certain extent.Third, give play to the core role of school education, guide students through the critical period of mental health quality development in the early stage of junior high school, gradually implement the trinity security system of "home, school and society",and promote students to continuously improve their mental health quality.
