Abstract/Summary:
School is the main place for students to study and live,and the research on students’ psychological condition has been paid more and more attention by all circles.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among campus atmosphere,primary school students’ mental health and school belonging.The expected results of this study are to explore the influence ways of campus atmosphere on primary school students’ mental health,and to introduce school belonging as an intermediary to provide a new perspective for promoting the development of primary school students’ mental health education.On the basis of combing and analyzing the existing relevant literature,this study aims to explore the influence of campus atmosphere on the mental health of primary school students.In this study,a primary school in Jinniu District of Chengdu selected 4、5 and 6 grade students as the subjects and conducted a questionnaire survey on 623 students in total.The questionnaires used were campus atmosphere questionnaire,school sense of belonging questionnaire and mental health diagnostic scale.After careful sorting and analysis of the obtained data,this paper systematically discusses the relationship among school atmosphere,pupils’ mental health and school belonging,and the mediating effect of school belonging.The research conclusions are as follows:1.Campus atmosphere is positively correlated with pupils’ mental health.2.The three variables of school atmosphere,school belonging and mental health were positively correlated.3.After controlling demographic statistical variables such as gender,age and grade,school belonging plays a partial mediating role between campus atmosphere and mental health.School atmosphere can not only directly affect the mental health of primary school students,but also influence their mental health level through school belonging.
