Research On The Function Of College Students’ Volunteer Service Education In The New Era

As a supplement to the ideological and political education classroom in colleges and universities,college students’ volunteer service cooperates with the theoretical teaching in the classroom by means of practical activities,helping to cultivate new people of the times.In the new era,the realization of the Chinese dream requires the cohesion of China spirit,the convergence of Chinese strength and the active participation of all Chinese sons and daughters.College students are the backbone of the youth group,shouldering the important task of realizing the prosperity of the country,national rejuvenation and people’s happiness.College students’ participation in voluntary service can establish a sense of social responsibility,enhance their sense of historical mission,exercise their practical ability and actively repay the society.Therefore,encouraging and supporting the development of college students’ voluntary service can not only provide a practical platform for cultivating new people of the times,but also promote the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and accumulate strength for realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.This paper takes the volunteer service of college students in the new era as the research object,and the introduction part focuses on the background and significance of this topic,the research status quo,and the research difficulties,aiming at clearly presenting the framework of this paper.Then,the research is carried out from the following four aspects.First,sort out the relevant theories of college students’ voluntary service in the new era.Including the basic concept,development process,service types and new features,aiming at clarifying the theoretical connotation of college students’ volunteer service in the new era and the research subject.Second,analyze the educational function of college students’ voluntary service in the new era.Starting with its advanced ideas and elements,and combining with the relevant achievements made in China in recent years,it is found that college students’ volunteer service in the new era has the guiding function of value pursuit,the aggregation function of national spirit,the shaping function of moral character and the strengthening function of practical behavior.Thirdly,it analyzes the present situation of college students’ volunteer service in the new era.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the results of practical investigation,it is found that the current development trend of college students’ voluntary service is good,but there are still some problems,and then the attribution analysis is made from four aspects: college students,universities,government and society.Fourthly,explore the countermeasures to give full play to the function of college students’ voluntary service in educating people.Starting with strengthening value education,cultivating national spirit,attaching importance to moral character and strengthening practical behavior,we adopt various measures to solve the problems existing at this stage and effectively enhance the effectiveness of educational function.
