| With the development of mobile Internet technology and the increasing enthusiasm of individual Internet users to participate in public affairs, public opinion on the Internet has become more and more complex and diverse. The differences in individual information literacy and education of Internet users,as well as the influence of Internet anonymity, have led to the rapid spread of irrational opinions on online social platforms represented by microblogs. How to effectively monitor, warn and manage public opinion by understanding the emotional tendencies of Internet users, identifying information on public issues on the Internet, and then gaining insight into users’ actual attitudes and opinions on social media is not only a practical need to analyze and monitor public opinion crises, but also a key issue that needs attention to improve public opinion crisis warning and response capabilities.Internet groups are important actors of online public opinion, and after the occurrence of online hotspots, highly emotional online activities tend to appear and influence the direction of the events. This paper reveals the role of emotional mobilization in online violence through the analysis of the "Tangshan beating incident" and the "small town questioner incident".It is found that online clusters are more likely to have a high degree of emotional resonance on a specific issue, thus forming an emotional connection. On this basis, this paper argues that,as a special form of public opinion monitoring, the polarized emotions presented by the network clusters imply that the public with different characteristics are concerned about the real dilemma and resist the unreasonable phenomenon. In this regard, relevant departments should pay attention to and make efforts to alleviate the situation in order to avoid secondary public opinion disasters caused by information blocking and responsibility avoidance. In order to better solve the problem of online violence in microblogs, this paper puts forward some suggestions.First, the legal and security awareness and personal digital literacy of Internet users should be improved, and the social divide should be actively bridged to improve the awareness and resistance to online violence.Second, monitoring means should be improved to detect and prevent online violence in a timely manner, establish a mechanism for managing online public opinion, and occupy public opinion positions. |
