The education philosophy of STSE is to combine science,technology,society,environment and some related content with science curricula.Many scholars believe that it is an effective way to promote students’ core quality,which can help students to have a strong interest in learning,so that students can use the knowledge to solve practical problems,and then cultivate students’ core quality and ability.The cultivation of innovative consciousness is of great significance to the all-round development of students.STSE is a kind of creative learning material.Applying STSE education idea to chemistry classroom teaching is of great significance to the development of students’ innovative consciousness.By consulting relevant literature,it’s found that the research on this problem is relatively few in China.Therefore,the study attempts to integrate the STSE education idea into the high school chemistry teaching to raise student’s innovation consciousness,and carries on the preliminary exploration and the analysis to the teaching practice effect.Literature research,questionnaire survey,interviews and data analysis are applied in this study for analyzing and practicing the application of STSE education ideas in high school chemistry teaching.First of all,using questionnaire survey administered to students and interviewing with teachers to understand the current situation of high school chemistry teaching under the concept of STSE from multiple perspectives.Secondly,analyzing the internal relationship between STSE and students’ innovation consciousness,and the STSE materials which are analyzed to guide the cultivation of innovation consciousness in the first compulsory textbook of high school chemistry.Thirdly,based on the results of questionnaire,interview and the analysis of STSE idea and innovation consciousness,the teaching model of cultivating students’ innovation consciousness is constructed.Finally,the changes of students’ creative activity level and problem-solving ability before and after the implementation of STSE teaching practice were compared.The results show that teaching under the STSE concept has the following effects in cultivating students’ innovative consciousness.First,it can help students improve their interest,curiosity,criticism and originality.Second,applying the teaching under the STSE concept to enhance students’ awareness of innovation,which needs long-term practice to reflect the results well.Third,the implementation of the STSE concept of teaching students in the development of innovative awareness can help students improve their problem-solving ability.Thus,the STSE concept of teaching can enhance students’ interest in learning,develop students’ conscious activity and enhance students’ awareness of innovation.It will provide reference for the combination of STSE education concept in chemistry teaching in high school to cultivate students’ innovative consciousness. |
