Teachers are the core of the national education plan.The pace of education reform encourages the growth of teachers in all disciplines and forms a team of high-quality and professional teachers with excellent discipline.As a member of the teacher group,the outstanding geography teachers in high and middle schools have undoubtedly become an important part of the outstanding teachers,as well as witnesses and practitioners of education reform and trend promoters.The author thinks,what is the outstanding geography teacher in high school? What are the evaluation criteria? What is the difference between me and the outstanding geography teachers in high school and middle school? In what ways can standards be met? This article is opened under the impetus of these issues.By studying the theoretical literature about the policy framework,development,characteristics and connotation of excellent teachers at home and abroad,this paper summarizes and analyzes the understanding of excellent teachers and excellent geography teachers,and establishes the index system of excellent evaluation of geography teachers through literature analysis.In this paper,AHP(analytic hierarchy Process)is adopted to establish an evaluation model for excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools,and the weight of the evaluation index system for excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools is calculated.Then,two excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools of A city are selected as objects for empirical test of the evaluation system for excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools,and the test results are analyzed.Give suggestions for further progress towards excellence as a geography teacher.This paper draws the following conclusions:The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Evaluation index system of excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools.The evaluation index system consists of 5 primary indexes,13 secondary indexes and 39 main observation points.The first level indicators are professional knowledge,vocational skills,career development,personal quality,achievement and interpersonal relationship.The secondary indexes are geography subject content knowledge,interdisciplinary knowledge,education and teaching knowledge,teaching skills,class management,administrative work,scientific research and learning,evaluation and reflection,teacher ethics,values,health and happiness,recognition,talent training.The 39 observation points corresponding to 13 secondary indexes are not discussed here.(2)Weight of evaluation index of excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools.The evaluation index weight system of excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools is composed of 5 first-level index weight coefficients and 13 second-level index weight coefficients.Among them,the weight coefficients of five first-level indicators in order of importance were professional knowledge(0.2426),vocational skills(0.2061),achievement and interpersonal relationship(0.1945),personal literacy(0.1894),and career development(0.1674).The importance ranking of the weight coefficient of 13second-level indicators is teaching skill(0.1205),geography content knowledge(0.1081),teacher ethics(0.1042),and scientific research and learning(0.1018).However,the weight coefficients of interdisciplinary knowledge(0.0474),values(0.0473),health and happiness(0.0379)and administrative work(0.0297)are relatively low,and the other two indexes have little difference in the ranking of weight coefficients.(3)Analysis of empirical test results of evaluation index system for excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools.The two teachers included in the study scored highest in "professional knowledge" and "vocational skills",but relatively low in "career development".The evaluation result of Teacher L is Grade B,which is more in line with the development level of excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools.The result of Teacher C is grade C,which basically meets the evaluation standard of excellent geography teachers in high schools.Through the analysis of the evaluation results,we encourage the excellent geography teachers in high and middle schools to participate more actively in the teacher development Community and other organizations,so as to promote the high-level development of their professional abilities.Actively declare the subject,promote the development of their own research consciousness and research ability;Take an active part in all kinds of affairs of the school to cultivate all kinds of skills,so as to help them improve their professional ability in geography.We should pay attention to international exchanges,broaden our international horizons,and further improve our abilities through mutual learning.
