Labor education is an important part of the national education system,a basic requirement for the comprehensive implementation of the Party’s education policy,and the continuous promotion of labor education is an important path to implement the concept of comprehensive education.In recent years,the state has promulgated many policy documents related to labor education and increased its attention to the construction of labor education curriculum.The labor skills curriculum has always been an important curriculum for the compulsory education stage of labor education in Schools for Students with Intellectual Disability.Analyzing the problems and influencing factors in the implementation of the labor skills curriculum in Schools for Students with Intellectual Disability,summarizing teachers’ teaching experiences in the implementation of the curriculum can provide reference for front-line teachers to promote labor education,and optimize the implementation process of the labor skills curriculum in Schools for Students with Intellectual Disability at the same time.Based on the reviewing of labor education,labor education education curriculum in general primary and secondary schools,and labor skills curriculum in Schools for Students with Intellectual Disability,this study used a combination of questionnaire and interview methods to investigate the implementation level of teachers of labor skills curriculum,the effect of teachers’ implementation,and the guarantee of curriculum resources.The study found that currently,Schools for Students with Intellectual Disability in Sichuan and Chongqing attach great importance to the implementation of the labor skills curriculum,and the schools will actively take measures according to their own conditions.However,in the process of implementing the curriculum,the weakness of teachers and the quality of teachers need to be improved;the lack of labor curriculum resources and the single form and content of the curriculum;the single way of evaluating the labor skills curriculum;and the lack of teaching research and related training in the labor skills curriculum are the most prominent problems in the implementation of the labor skills curriculum in Schools for Students with Intellectual Disability in Sichuan and Chongqing.Meanwhile,the factors affecting the implementation of the labor skills curriculum are educational administration,curriculum resource conditions,differences in educational objects,and teachers’ educational concepts.The study concludes by proposing strategies to promote the effective implementation of the labor skills curriculum: strengthening the systematization of the labor skills curriculum;tapping local characteristics resources and building supporting curriculum resources;exploring evaluation methods that match the curriculum standards;improving training mechanisms to enhance professionalism;and changing teachers’ curriculum concepts to improve their teaching level.Due to the limitation of researcher’s knowledge,the limitation of information collection,and the limitations of the research method,the present research may be still insufficient.Further improvements are needed in this study: case study as an effective supplement to this study;parents of students are selected as survey subjects to understand the students’ family work ability and propose countermeasures in a targeted manner;the number of autistic children is increasing,and the education of autistic children should reflect the target. |
