| Postgraduate education is the top of the national education system and an important way to cultivate high-level talents.Based on the theory of role expectations,this paper explores the behavior pattern of the complete process of selecting a supervisor from the perspective of master’s students.Based on the role expectation theory,this paper constructs a behavior model for master’s degree students to choose tutors based on students from a university in Wuhan as participants.Research 1 divides the behavior of master’s students in selecting a tutor into five steps through qualitative research: the first step is to consult the official website and screen the tutor according to their own criteria;the second step is to give full play to the advantages of social relations to obtain more information from the tutor;the third step is to take the initiative to contact the tutor by email and wait for the tutor’s reply;the fourth step is to interview;the fifth step is to establish the teacher-student relationship.The whole process is a cyclical process,except for the fifth step,the other four steps do not necessarily occur.In the behavioral model of master’s degree students’ selection of supervisors,there are two aspects that have been running through it,directly affecting the choice of supervisors by master’s students,these two aspects are tutor expectations and information acquisition.Therefore,on the basis of Research 1,Research 2 analyzes the influencing factors of master’s degree students on the expectations of supervisors through questionnaire surveys.On the basis of Research1,Research 3 explores the information preferences of master students in selecting supervisors based on the ideal background through experimental methods.On the basis of Research 1,Research 4 explores the effectiveness of master’s degree students’ selection of supervisors based on a questionnaire survey based on the context of reality.Through four studies,the following conclusions were drawn: 1.The behavioral patterns of master’s students choosing supervisors showed complexity,and tutor expectations and information acquisition were carried out throughout.2.Master’s degree students have the same expectations for supervisors.But there is no herd mentality.3.Master’s degree students have a preference for tutor information and are affected by the way of admission,master’s degree category professional category and gender.4.Overall,the satisfaction of current master’s students with their supervisors has a high room for improvement.Subject categories have a significant impact on tutor satisfaction.Based on this,this paper puts forward a total of three suggestions: 1.the college should do a good job in releasing tutor information to help students select tutors in a targeted manner;2.establish a fair and just mutual selection system to avoid vicious competition;3.colleges and universities organize tutors to study the Code,focusing on improving the training ability of the tutor team. |
