| With the rapid development of economy and society, the scale of divorce group in China is getting bigger and bigger. The disintegration of family structure, the absence of one parent’s role and the wrong way of education caused by divorce can have serious adverse effects on adolescents in the most critical period of development, such as the emergence of aggressive behaviors. If these behaviors are not intervened early, they can be further transformed into transgressive criminal behavior, and a large proportion of the annual cases of juvenile delinquency come from divorced families.Social workers are obliged to use their professional knowledge and methods to help young people from divorced families to get out of their difficulties and promote their healthy physical and mental development.Supported by cognitive-behavioral theory and social support theory, this thesis uses the Buss-Perry Aggression Inventory adapted by Liu Junsheng,a Chinese scholar,to identify three types of clients: "physical aggression","verbal aggression",and "substitution aggression" through sampling, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews with adolescents in divorced families in J community, and selects typical clients with different types of aggression in J community for case intervention. The data were analyzed using SPSS20.0,and the effectiveness of the intervention was evaluated by pre and post tests of normality and paired samples t-test,with the aim of eventually achieving the goal of reducing aggressive behavior among adolescents in divorced families. The study found that the p-values for all three caseworkers were less than 0.05 after the intervention, indicating that there was a significant difference before and after the intervention, that the casework intervention for the three caseworkers was effective, and that the casework approach was effective in intervening in the aggressive behavior of adolescents in divorced families. In this thesis,we applied cognitive-behavioral theory to correct the misconceptions of aggressive behaviors, social support theory to help the caseworker with distant parent-child relationship and weak social relationship to establish formal and informal social support network, professional methods and techniques to teach the caseworker and parents to manage and control their emotions, and help the parents to master the correct educational methods. But the problem of aggressive behavior among adolescents in divorced families is a multidimensional dilemma that also requires multiple efforts from the adolescents themselves, the community, and society to better address. |
