Abstract/Summary:
At present,Canadian children and adolescents have seen a larger decline in physical activity,leading to a significantly higher risk of obesity and chronic disease,Since the 21 st century,it has been highly valued by the international community.Canada began to promote physical literacy in 2008 and regarded it as the foundation of elite sports and a healthy country.Physical literacy has become a priority development project of the country’s sports,entertainment,education and public health departments.In 2015,Ontario,Canada,incorporated the concept of physical literacy into the health and physical education curriculum standards for the first time.The latest version of health and physical education curriculum standards for grades 1-8 in 2019 continuously improved the concept of physical literacy.Since 2018,physical literacy has been paid more and more attention in China.The outline for building a sports power issued by the general office of the State Council in 2019 clearly puts forward that improving teenagers’ physical literacy and developing a healthy lifestyle are important contents of school physical education.The paper takes the 2019 "Grade 1-8 Health and Physical Education Curriculum Standards"(abbreviated form of a name "Curriculum Standards")in Ontario,Canada as the research object,through the analysis of the concept of physical literacy in the curriculum standard;Revision background and process;Text content;Discuss the characteristics and Enlightenment of the text,It provides a reference for the revision of compulsory education physical education and health curriculum standards and the practice of teaching reform.The specific results and conclusions are as follows.The first part introduces the reasons for the implementation of physical literacy in Canada.Lack of physical activity has become a serious problem facing Canada.The obesity and health status of children and adolescents are not optimistic,Based on the active implementation of physical literacy programs in various departments in Canada;according to the definition of the International physical Literacy Association and the Canadian physical Literacy Consensus Statement,it is explained that physical literacy consists of four basic elements: that are interconnected motivation and confidence(Affective),physical competence(physical),knowledge and understanding(cognitive),Engagement in physical acclivities for life(Behavioral).The second part is the analysis of the text of the curriculum standard in Ontario,Canada:the curriculum standard contains basic ideas;Vision and objectives;General and specific expectations of the course;Target content;Academic evaluation and evaluation;The sixth part of the implementation proposal refines the objectives of health and physical education curriculum into four primary indicators and 14 secondary indicators,and divides grades 1-8into three levels.The third part abstracts the characteristics of the 2019 curriculum standard of Ontario,Canada as follows:(1)construct the goal of physical education curriculum based on the concept of physical quality,and highlight the quality standard;(2)Focus on fun and emphasize participation to promote the cultivation of students’ active life;(3)Pay attention to basic sports ability and emphasize the learning of sports strategies;(4)Highlight the importance of safety education and closely contact with daily life;(5)The content of academic achievement and evaluation is rich and comprehensive;(6)Family school community linkage and coordination;(7)Introduce a number of policies to ensure the achievement of curriculum objectives.The fourth part is the Enlightenment of the curriculum standard of Ontario,Canada from the perspective of physical literacy:(1)integrate physical literacy into the curriculum standard and core literacy;(2)Develop fun and promote the cultivation of students’ sports motivation;(3)Pay attention to the learning and application of sports strategies and promote students to learn to exercise;(4)Develop evaluation tools,diversified electronic portfolio evaluation,and continuously track the development of motor skills;(5)Make efforts to jointly promote the healthy development of students.
