In 2020,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council has issued the education-oriented "Overall Plan for Deepening the Reform of Education Evaluation in the New Era",which emphasized putting morality first and ability first once again.With the new round of curriculum reform,new textbooks have been gradually promoted and used in the new college entrance examination provinces across the country,each section of the new textbook is designed with typical situational cases,and the creation of problem scenarios about new textbooks has become the research direction of scholars.As an important part of geographic core literacy,regional cognition has also been studied by many scholars in recent years.In response to the hotspots of the times,this paper takes the new textbook physical geography as an example to conduct an investigation and analysis on the creation of problem situations for cultivating regional cognition,and puts forward suggestions for improvement,in order to effectively guide the teaching practice of geography in middle school.The thesis consists of six main parts.The first part is the introduction,including the research background,content and plan of the subject.The second part is the literature review.On the one hand,the research results at home and abroad are sorted out and the core concepts are defined,and on the other hand,the theoretical basis of this paper is clarified.The main content of the third part is research and analysis.This paper conducts research from two aspects: questionnaire survey and classroom observation.This part mainly explains the preparation of the survey.In the aspect of classroom observation,based on the new geography curriculum standard of senior high school,the element system of "regional cognition" and the requirements for creating problem situations to cultivate regional cognition,this paper constructs a scientific diagnostic scale through expert consultation.The fourth part is the statistics and analysis of the questionnaire survey and classroom observation.On the basis of data analysis,the existing problems are summarized.The fifth part is the suggestion for improvement.The sixth part is the main conclusions,shortcomings and prospects of this paper.This paper draws the main conclusions through research and analysis,including "integrating contexts to connect regional cognitive learning","creating fresh contexts to cultivate regional cognitive thinking","enriching contextual presentation methods to develop regional multi-dimensional perspectives","enhancing the logic of the situation to improve regional exploration ability","situation creation enhances emotions to improve regional cognitive view",a total of five improvement suggestions.
