The links of problem representation,strategy formulation,strategy implementation strategy and so on are usually faced by students in the process of solving chemical problems,so the thinking obstacles in the process are easily experienced by them,while the traditional teaching models are hard to solve the problem of thinking obstacles.Thermochemistry is the first learning content of chemical principles,which has the learning mode significantly different from elemental compounds,so it has proposed higher requirements on the thinking ability of high school students.Therefore,by starting from the perspective of thinking visualization,the thinking obstacles of high school students in the process of solving problems related to thermochemistry are analyzed,and the intervention teaching scheme based on thinking visualization is designed.Based on this,some enlightenment can be provided for the education and research of improving students’ thermochemical ability level.The following is the main work of this research:(1)The survey and analysis of the present status of students’ various ability levels: The ability construction map of the Program for International Student Assessment(PISA)is referred to,and a framework of ability dimensions in thermochemistry is built,in which the dimension of conceptual identification,the dimension of symbolic representation,and the dimension of computational inference are included.On this basis,two test papers before and after are designed,and the investigation on high school students who had just finished learning new knowledge of thermochemistry is conducted to determine the present status of students’ various ability levels in thermochemistry.(2)The analysis on the obstacles of students’ thinking: The typical mistakes made by students in solving problems related to thermochemistry are summarized,and the causes of students’ thinking obstacles at different academic levels are summarized.(3)The study on teaching intervention scheme based on thinking visualization:In view of students’ thinking obstacles in the process of solving problems related to thermochemistry,the teaching intervention scheme based on thinking visualization is designed,including problem identification visualization,process analysis visualization,strategy generation visualization,and corresponding teaching cases.In this research,the effectiveness of teaching intervention based on thinking visualization is tested through two tests before and after.Through the contrast between the experimental group and the control group,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)When students start learning new knowledge of thermochemistry,they have the best performance in the dimension of concept identification,which is followed by the dimension of symbolic representation,and the computational inference.(2)The teaching intervention scheme based on thinking visualization plays a small effect in improving the dimension of representation,in which the improvement in the dimension of concept identification and computational inference has better effect than that of the traditional teaching mode.
