| Objective: Lower body explosive power is one of the key factors affecting the athletic performance and skill level of male youth basketball athletes.The use of weightlifting pulling derivatives for developing explosive lower body power is easier to teach,more efficient,less complex,less risk of injury,and allows for the use of greater loads than traditional weightlifting movements.This study compared the effects of the hang high pull(weightlifting pulling derivative)with the hang power clean(traditional explosive strength training exercise)on lower body explosive power of male youth basketball athletes through a 10-week intervention experiment to explore the effects of the two exercises on lower body explosive power of male youth basketball athletes.This study will provide reference for baske tball coaches and strength and conditioning coaches in arranging lower body explosive power training and developing programmes.Methods: This study was conducted to compare the effects of hang high pull(HHP)and hang power clean(HPC)on lower body explosiv e power of U19 male ba sketball athletes in team Jiangsu,to select the test indexes and develop the intervention training plan through literature method and expert interview method,to train the subjects with the intervention using experimental method,and finally to statistica lly process and analyze the experimental measured data using mathematical and comparative analysis method.The data were then statistically processed and analysed using mathematical and comparative analysis.Results:(1)The HHP group achieved very signifi cant difference(P<0.01)in the post-test on the countermovement vertical jump(CMJ),squat jump(SJ),and assisted running touch high test,with increases of10.87%,9.68% and 1.80% respectively.Significant differences(P<0.05)were achieved in the post-test of the in single-leg countermovement vertical jump,SLCMJ(left leg)and in SLCMJ(right leg),with increases of 2.79% and 2.86% respectively.(2)The HPC group achieved a significant difference(P<0.05)in the post-test on the CMJ test,with an increase of 6.99%.Very significant differences(P<0.01)were achieved in the post-experimental tests for the in SJ,in SLCMJ(left leg),in SLCMJ(right leg)and assisted running touch high test indicators,with increases of 5.64%,2.56%,2.50% and 0.91% for each indicator respectively.(3)There were no significant differences(P>0.05)in the post-test results between the HHP group and the HPC group for the in CMJ,SJ,SLCMJ(left leg),SLCMJ(right leg)and assisted running touch high test.Conclusion:(1)HHP training can effectively improve male youth basketball athletes’ ability to jump,jump with one leg and assisted jump with both feet to touch high.(2)Training with HHP and training with the HPC can both improve lower body explosive po wer of male youth basketball athletes.(3)The HHP is more effective than the HPC in improving the lower body explosive power of male youth basketball athletes. |
