Abstract/Summary:
"China’s Education Modernization 2035" and "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Modernization of Education(2018-2022)" further emphasize the importance of smart education.As one of the important approaches to the development of smart education,smart learning environment has been widely applied in major universities in China,providing an efficient way to develop higher-order thinking ability.In order to fully explore the effect of intelligent learning environment in promoting the development of higher-order thinking,this study starts from the perspective of teaching activities,adopts the methods of video analysis,questionnaire and interview,pays attention to the effect of teaching activities in intelligent learning environment on the development of college students’ higher-order thinking,and puts forward effective suggestions and strategies for promoting the development of higherorder thinking.Firstly,through literature research,this study reviews the research status of intelligent learning environment and higher order thinking at home and abroad.The research content includes the theory of intelligent learning environment,environmental design and key technologies,teaching application,as well as the conceptual connotation,influencing factors,cultivation and evaluation of higher-order thinking.This paper analyzes the guiding effect of constructivism,advanced learning and activity theory on the development of higher order thinking in the intelligent learning environment.Secondly,under the guidance of activity theory,based on Gagne’s nine teaching events as the basis for the division of teaching activities,the first-order factors of higher-order thinking as the cognitive objectives of teaching activities,the existing analysis framework of learning activities was modified to form a new analysis framework of teaching activities.Nvivo12 software was used to analyze sample lesson videos under basic,functional and characteristic intelligent learning environments,and to explore teaching structure,teaching activities,technology use and higher-order thinking data.The results show that the diversification of teaching activities is insufficient,the subject and type of technology use are single,and the dimension of high order thinking cultivation is single.Finally,questionnaires and interviews were designed to make up for the lack of samples for the study of lesson videos.The research found that students in different groups had different understanding degrees and ranges of higher-order thinking,learners’ expectations for teaching activities in the intelligent learning environment were different from the actual situation,and different teaching activities had different development forces for higher-order thinking.To sum up,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the implementation of teaching activities to promote the development of higher-order thinking under the intelligent learning environment,including deepening the dimension and depth of teaching activities,paying attention to individual differences of students,promoting the diversification and precision of technology use,strengthening teacher training and carrying out diversified evaluation.Finally,in view of the shortcomings of the research,the future research prospects are put forward.
