Identity helps rural teachers to make positive self-positioning,play the main role of rural teachers in rural education and teaching,help them participate in the revitalization of rural culture construction,so as to promote the development of rural education.Nowadays,the dilemma facing rural teachers is not the external problem of material,but the internal problem of rural teachers’ identity.The identity of rural teachers has become the main factor to determine the "stay and teach well" of rural teachers.It is of great significance to pay attention to the identity of rural teachers,understand the internal needs of rural teachers,and pay attention to their growth and development to promote the modernization of rural education.This study focuses on the identity of rural teachers in Guangxi,takes the theory of social capital as the analytical framework,investigates and explains the status quo of rural teachers’ identity in Guangxi and the causes of existing problems from the perspectives of social class,material wealth,social prestige,educational feelings and professional values,and puts forward countermeasures,in order to enrich the research content of rural teacher team construction.This paper tries to provide some theoretical support for solving the problem of rural teachers’ identity.Through investigation and research,it is found that the identity problem of rural teachers in Guangxi still exists.It is difficult for rural teachers to stick to the countryside,which hinders the improvement of rural education quality and is not conducive to the development of rural modernization.This study is based on the theory of social capital.It is helpful for individuals to fully understand the status of individual identity when they scientifically understand themselves in the process of capital investment,mobilization and return from the resources they obtain in the social network.The resources rural teachers get in the social network make them know and understand their own identity.On this basis,the identity of rural teachers in Guangxi is understood through questionnaire and interview survey,and then the collected questionnaire and interview data are sorted and analyzed to summarize the current status of rural teachers’ identity in Guangxi.According to the results of the survey,the identity of rural teachers has achieved some results,which are mainly manifested in: rural teachers have improved their professional identity awareness,enhanced their enthusiasm for work,strong sense of teaching pride and responsibility,strengthened their awareness of participation in rural cultural construction,and Correct their professional attitude.But at the same time,it is also found that there are the following problems in rural teachers’ identity: rural teachers have low recognition of their own social status,lack of material resources,low evaluation and recognition of themselves,uncertain choice of teacher identity,unclear career development goals.In this paper,from the perspective of social capital theory,the author explores the reasons for the problems of rural teachers’ identity in Guangxi: narrow source of social capital,insufficient recognition of rural teachers’ social class;Lack of social capital security,rural teachers have less material wealth;The foundation of social capital is not solid,and the social reputation enjoyed by rural teachers is not high;Social capital choice wavering,rural teachers’ feelings of education weak;Lack of understanding of social capital and deviation of professional values lead to problems of rural teachers’ identity.Therefore,mainly from expanding the source of social capital,enhance the recognition of rural teachers in the social class;Strengthen social capital security,increase the material wealth of rural teachers;Strengthen the social capital base,improve social reputation;Firm choice of social capital,rural teachers themselves cultivate feelings of education;In order to promote the construction of rural teachers and improve the quality of rural education and teaching,the author puts forward the ways to improve the identity of rural teachers in Guangxi from the five aspects of correcting the understanding of social capital and establishing the correct professional values.In the end,this study is summarized briefly,and at the same time,the shortcomings of this paper and the direction of further research are expounded.Based on Lin Nan’s theory of social capital,this paper discusses the ways to improve rural teachers’ identity in Guangxi.However,due to the limited ability of researchers and the impact of other objective factors,this study also has some shortcomings,such as a small number of samples and insufficient theoretical analysis.However,the author still expects to explore more theoretical and practical significance about the identity of rural teachers in Guangxi through practical research,so as to provide certain path support for the construction and development of rural teachers and help rural revitalization at the same time.
