| Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the government has issued various policy documents, which put forward clear requirements for the development of social work. The "5.12 earthquake" brought disasters to the people of Sichuan, but also promoted the development of social work and industry in Sichuan.Various private social work service institutions emerged. However, those engaged in social work are confused and disappointed with their professional future, and their self professional identity is not high, which leads to serious brain drain in social work. Therefore, the professional identity of social work professionals should be paid attention to.In recent years, the academic research on social workers’ self-identity began to increase, but there is little research on the impact of organizational social capital on social workers’ self-identity.In order to better respond to this problem, this paper aims to analyze the impact of organizational social capital on social workers’ self-identity by understanding the organizational social capital and social workers’ self-identity,so as to provide suggestions for improving social workers’ self-identity and deal with the serious brain drain of social work. This paper assumes that the higher the organizational social capital is,the higher the social workers’ self professional identity is.After a structured interview with 10 front-line social workers, project leaders and supervisors of social work service institutions in Chengdu, this paper designs a questionnaire for this study based on the existing scale of organizational social capital and self professional identity of social workers. Then, the author conducted a questionnaire survey on333 social workers in Chengdu and analyzed the data with spss22.0 software. Finally, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)the age of demographic variables, obtaining different qualifications have significant impact on organizational social capital, and the age of demographic variables, obtaining different qualifications, working years have significant impact on social workers’ self professional identity.(2)After taking gender, age, marital status, education level, obtaining different qualifications and working years as control variables, the analysis results show that the three dimensions of structure, relationship and cognition in organizational social capital have significant positive effects on the three dimensions of social workers’ self professional identity: professional cognition, professional feeling and professional behavior tendency.Based on the above research, this paper mainly from three dimensions of organizational social capital, puts forward the relevant suggestions to enhance the organizational social capital of social work institutions, namely,to enhance the interaction intensity and network density of the staff in social work institutions,to strengthen the trust of colleagues and supervisors,to form a common language and vision,so as to play the subjective initiative of social workers,to prevent and intervene in social capital There are serious problems of low self-identity and brain drain. |
