At the beginning of 2020.the COVID-19 epidemic broke out worldwide.and various industries were impacted by the epidemic.In order to ensure normal teaching order and implement the requirement of the Ministry of Education’s "suspension of classes but not suspension of study," online teaching was widely practiced nationwide for the first time.As a key course to implement the fundamental task of moral education.the high school Ideology and Politics course has complied with the trend of educational informationization development and broke through the temporal and spatial limitations of traditional offline school teaching through online teaching,leveraging the advantages of the Internet platform and resources to ensure the orderly implementation of high school Ideology and Politics education during the epidemic.Compared with offline teaching,the online teaching of the high school Ideology and Politics course has demonstrated many unique advantages but also exposed some problems that urgently need to be solved to affect the effectiveness of teaching.Summarizing the practical experience of high school Ideology and Politics online teaching during the epidemic,especially analyzing and solving various problems exposed in this process,is helpful for cultivating the core literacy of the Ideology and Politics discipline,promoting the comprehensive development of students’ morality,intelligence,physical fitness,art,and labor,and preparing for ensuring the effectiveness of teaching in high school Ideology and Politics under various emergency situations.This article focuses on the effectiveness of online teaching for high school ideological and political courses in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.Using research methods such as literature review,questionnaire survey,interviews,and comparative analysis,the article explores the unique advantages and prominent problems of online teaching for high school ideological and political courses during the pandemic,based on the theoretical foundation of online teaching effectiveness for these courses.According to the principle of dialectical relationship between universal and particular contradictions,this article classifies these problems into common problems faced by various subjects in online teaching and subject-specific problems determined by the moral education attributes of high school ideological and political courses.This article proposes four solutions to the common problems encountered in online teaching across various subjects:first,improve teaching software based on teaching needs;second,refine teaching methods to adapt to online features;third,optimize interactive elements to enhance effectiveness;and fourth,broaden supervision channels by diversifying supervisory bodies.For the specific challenges in teaching high school political ideology,this article suggests three solutions:effectively strengthening political identity by utilizing online resources;paying attention to moral education participation processes through situational construction;and addressing psychological issues to ensure the physical and mental health of students.
