Novel teaching is an important part of Chinese teaching in high school.The values and life experience expressed by the author in the novel work have an important impact on the all-round development of students’ morality,intelligence,physique and beauty,and are conducive to the implementation of the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and cultivating people".It can also develop students’ core language literacy.However,the current high school novel teaching still has problems such as the rigidity of teaching content and the lack of classroom subject.As a result,students cannot master the methods of reading and appreciating novels well,and applying what they have learned in the classroom to independent reading is not conducive to cultivating students.the core literacy and improve the literary appreciation ability.The application of constructivism theory to novel teaching can emphasize students’ subject status in the classroom,promote students’ construction of novel knowledge,and provide a way of thinking for solving the current problems of high school novel teaching.The author takes the selected novels in the unified edition of high school Chinese textbooks as the research object of this paper,and uses the method of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and case analysis to summarize and summarize the existing problems in the teaching of novels in high school.Under the guidance of,put forward the implementation strategies to improve the teaching of novels.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction part mainly explains the source of the subject,the current situation of the research,the purpose,the significance of the research and the research method.The second part mainly expounds the basic viewpoints of constructivism from four aspects: "knowledge view","student view","learning view" and "teaching view".The third part summarizes the problems existing in the teaching of novels in high schools from the perspective of constructivism and explores the reasons for their existence based on the literature and investigation reports.The fourth part,combined with the theory of constructivism,puts forward the implementation strategies to improve the teaching of novels in high school.In the fifth part,I try to use the proposed strategy,taking the novel "Zhufu" as an example,to further elaborate the application of constructivism theory in high school novel teaching.
