With its beautiful language,strong emotion and variety of styles,contemporary prose is an important part of middle school language reading teaching,and it plays a role in laying the foundation for the development of students’ language use ability,aesthetic ability,thinking ability and cultural confidence.However,questionnaire surveys and field interviews reveal that there are currently problems in teaching middle school contemporary prose,such as lack of in-depth study of the new standards,neglect of prose genre features,lack of classroom problem generation and lack of classroom infectiousness.These problems are a challenge to the development of teaching contemporary prose.After analyzing these problems,the author takes constructivist theory as the guide and students as the main body,proposes the goal of rebuilding modern and contemporary prose teaching based on the core literacy,and the teaching methods and updated teaching strategies of contemporary prose under constructivist theory should be reasonably used to provide new teaching ideas for the rejuvenation of the classroom of contemporary prose.The introductory section introduces the origin of this paper,explains the significance,purpose and method of this paper,reads and organizes the valuable experiences of previous authors,and puts forward the difficulties and innovations of this paper’s research.The first chapter is an overview.It defines the concepts of contemporary prose in junior high school language textbooks,junior high school teaching of contemporary prose and constructivist theory and teaching of contemporary prose,organizes the distribution of contemporary prose in junior high school,and explains the theoretical support of this paper and the appropriateness of using constructivism in teaching contemporary prose.The second chapter is the analysis of the current situation.The questionnaire and interview methods are used to collect data and analyze the problems in teaching middle school contemporary prose,and the causes are analyzed.The third chapter is strategy suggestion.Some strategies are proposed to optimize the classroom of contemporary prose under the constructivist theory and the concept of core literacy,and the constructivist teaching method is applied to the teaching design.Based on the modern and contemporary prose items in junior high school Chinese textbooks,supported by constructivism theory as a strategy,this paper studies modern and contemporary prose through literature review and field investigation,formulates the outline of questionnaire survey for students and interviews with teachers,and summarizes the crux of modern and contemporary prose teaching through the answers of front-line students and teachers.Different teaching methods are adopted to improve the effectiveness of the strategies and strive to realize the maximum application value of constructivism theory in modern and contemporary prose teaching.
