Information technology discipline aims to cultivate students’ information awareness,improve information literacy,establish scientific spirit,and develop students’ thinking of using information technology to solve problems.It is a basic course to improve the information technology literacy of the whole people.The information technology teacher team is the backbone to undertake this task,so information technology teachers need to have solid professional literacy and good professional development ability in order to promote the development of information technology education.However,currently,information technology teachers have inaccurate understanding of the curriculum and their own development positioning,and research on the professional development of information technology teachers is relatively scarce,resulting in unsatisfactory teacher professional development.Therefore,it is necessary for us to explore the influencing factors of the professional development of information technology teachers.Based on the influencing factors of the professional development of all teachers,whether there are more prominent influencing factors for information technology teachers,and how these factors affect the professional development of information technology teachers are the key issues discussed in this study.In response to the research question,firstly,the literature research method is used to sort out the relevant literature on the connotation,professional structure,influencing factors,as well as the current situation and influencing factors of information technology teacher professional development at home and abroad,clarify the context of teacher professional development,and define the concepts of teacher professional development and information technology teacher professional development.Secondly,a questionnaire survey method was used to understand the current situation of influencing factors on the professional development of information technology teachers.SPSS analysis tools were used to conduct independent sample tests on the questionnaire data,and the unique influencing factors of information technology teachers among the influencing factors of professional development were analyzed.Finally,through the interview method,an in-depth investigation was conducted on the unique factors of information technology teachers’ professional development.Nvivo processing tools were used to encode the interview data,and the existing model of influencing factors on teachers’ professional development was improved based on the coding results,forming a model of influencing factors for information technology teachers’ professional development.The research results found that among the influencing factors of teacher professional development,there are more prominent influencing factors for information technology teachers:(1)in the dimension of scholar awareness,the influence of three factors: information technology curriculum knowledge,subject resources,and curriculum hours is more prominent;(2)In the dimension of lifelong training,the influence of professional background,training quantity,and training pertinence is relatively obvious;(3)In the external environment dimension,internal cooperation and external communication have a more significant impact;(4)In the dimension of endogenous needs,emotional needs and self actualization needs are two prominent factors.Based on the research results of questionnaire surveys and interviews,as well as a model of factors affecting the professional development of information technology teachers,four targeted suggestions and countermeasures are proposed to address the prominent factors that affect the professional development of information technology teachers:(1)enriching high-quality resources in the information technology discipline and optimizing course hours;(2)Improve the information technology teacher education system and enrich the forms of teacher training;(3)Pay attention to the emotional needs of information technology teachers and assist them in self realization;(4)Strengthen the quality of internal cooperation among information technology teachers,and improve the understanding of information technology disciplines among teachers in other disciplines.To provide reference and reference for the professional development of information technology teachers at present.
