Under the background of the new round of high school history curriculum reform,the unified edition of the high school history textbook "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(Part I)has optimized and innovated in the arrangement system and content framework,deeply implemented the basic concept of the new curriculum standard "aiming at cultivating and improving students’ core literacy in history subjects",and guided the direction of middle school history teaching.Among them,"Inquiry and Extension" column adopts the form of textual materials and learning tasks,aiming to guide students to construct meaning through analytical materials,improve their ability to solve historical problems,and implement the requirements of the new curriculum standard.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the application of "Inquiry and Extension" in secondary schools and analyze its characteristics and functions.This paper is based on the new curriculum standard and based on constructivist theory,first,by combing the content framework of this column,it analyzes the correspondence between the column and core literacy and its status and function in the textbook.Second,through the investigation,it was learned that in the use of this column,there are problems such as students’ low attention to the column,failure to grasp the method of inquiry,and teachers’ failure to use the column flexibly,ignoring the main position of students,etc.,which are mainly caused by the tight class time,less time for students to study history,and low interest in exploration.Third,according to the research content,combined with specific cases,the theoretical content of constructivist knowledge,learning and teaching is combined with high school history teaching,and teaching strategies such as "promoting the diversification of teaching activities based on column historical materials" and "promoting the formation of literacy based on diversified evaluation" are proposed,which are tried to provide reference for teachers to use this column.
