Positive empathy is the ability to understand and empathize with the emotional state of others’ positive emotions.People with good positive empathy ability can correctly understand the emotions of others and make reasonable and appropriate empathy responses to the emotions of others, thus promoting the production of their prosocial behavior.Empathy deficiency is one of the common problems in children with autism spectrum disorders. They have difficulty understanding and speculating on the emotions of others, making it difficult to respond appropriately to their emotions, which is a major cause of social interaction disorders in individuals with autism.Positive empathy is divided into two dimensions: emotional state understanding and empathy response. At present, there is no unified conclusion on the defects of emotional state understanding and empathy response in autistic individuals, and there is controversy over whether there is an advantage of familiar people and the advantage of simple positive emotional empathy, which needs to be confirmed by further research. From the perspective of empathy intervention, previous interventions mostly used psychological theory training and conventional intervention methods, which lacked flexibility, while creative drama solved this problem.Creative drama has an intervention effect on the social communication and emotional understanding abilities of children with autism, but few studies have applied it to empathy. The intervention effect on positive empathy needs further exploration. Therefore, this study explores the impact of interpersonal intimacy on positive empathy in children with autism from two dimensions: emotional state understanding and empathic response, and based on this, explores the effectiveness of creative drama teaching in intervening in positive empathy in children with autism. The study was divided into two parts: experimental research and interventional research. The experimental study focuses on children with autism, and selects ordinary children with intellectual age matching as the control group.Starting from the two dimensions of emotional state understanding and empathy response, this study explores the characteristics of positive empathy and the influence of interpersonal intimacy on autistic children’s positive empathy.Among them, experiment 1 focuses on emotional state understanding, and experiment 2focuses on empathy response. The intervention study adopted a cross-context multi-baseline experimental design, selected three children with mild to moderate autism as the research subjects, trained the positive empathy of autistic children based on creative drama, and explored the immediate, maintenance and generalization effects of creative drama on positive empathy intervention in autistic children in two situations.Experiment 1 found that:(1)There are defects in the ability to understand the emotional state of children with autism.(2)Children with autism had simple positive emotional advantages, and their ability to recognize happy emotions was significantly higher than that of pride and sadness; There was no significant difference in the recognition of the three emotions in the average child.(3)In the judgment of strangers’ situational clues, children with autism and ordinary children had negative processing advantages, and the judgment of sad emotional situation clues was significantly higher than that of happiness and pride.(4)Children with autism have the advantage of being familiar with ordinary children. The second experiment found that:(1)there are defects in the empathy of autistic children.(2)Autistic children have the advantage of simple positive emotions, and their empathy response to happy emotions is significantly higher than that of pride and sadness;Common children have the advantage of basic emotional empathy, and the empathy of happy and sad emotions is significantly higher than that of pride.(3)Both autistic children and ordinary children have the advantage of familiarity.Intervention research found that:(1)creative drama had good immediate and maintenance effects on the positive empathy ability of autistic children, and the social validity was high.(2)The intervention effect of familiar with human context teaching is more ideal. To sum up,autistic children have "simple positive emotional advantage" and "familiarity advantage" in positive empathy.Creative drama teaching has a good immediate, maintenance and generalization effect on the positive empathy of autistic children, and the familiar situation has a better intervention effect than the stranger situation. |
