| The curriculum standards for compulsory education in mathematics propose to strengthen algebraic reasoning in the area of number and algebra,and today’s education places increasing emphasis on the development of algebraic reasoning.Through literature analysis,this paper analyses the current situation of algebraic reasoning ability and focuses on the following questions:1.How to prepare test papers,questionnaires and interview outlines related to junior high school students’ algebraic reasoning ability? 2.Based on the results of the test papers,questionnaires and interviews,what are the problems with junior high school students’ algebraic reasoning skills? 3.Based on the analysis of the survey results and combined with teaching practice,what measures should be proposed to address the problems of junior secondary students’ algebraic reasoning ability?This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature analysis,testing and survey research,and takes students in junior high school as the research object.The study was conducted with reference to the "Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)",and followed the construction of the relevant assessment framework to construct an assessment framework for junior high school students’ algebraic ability.Through the analysis of the results of the survey tests and teacher interviews,it was found that junior high school students’ algebraic reasoning ability had the following problems:(1)weak knowledge base,poor memory of concepts and laws,and lack of fluency in basic calculations,which led to students not having some basis for reasoning;(2)poor problem solving habits,irregular steps,and lack of understanding of because...so...form is not skillfully applied,leading to problems in reasoning;(3)weak sense of reasoning,when seeing simple and familiar problems,students are more motivated to solve them,but when seeing unfamiliar and unknown problems,they will easily deny themselves,leading to giving up reasoning when encountering difficult problems;(4)lack of training and reflection,in their daily learning,students are not motivated to solve problems due to lack of practice training and no self-reflective autonomy,resulting in students learning only theoretical knowledge and lacking concrete training and practice,leaving their algebraic reasoning skills undeveloped.To address the problems of junior high school students’ algebraic reasoning ability,corresponding countermeasures are proposed and case studies are given to justify the implementation of countermeasures.(1)to consolidate the foundations and form a knowledge system to provide students with some space for thinking about algebraic reasoning;(2)to practise diligently,standardise the steps for solving problems and form a rigorous format for mathematical algebraic reasoning;(3)teachers should guide and encourage students to make bold guesses in teaching,so that students can actively participate in classroom activities and gradually develop their awareness of algebraic reasoning;(4)in daily teaching,to let students to practice diligently,organize their error books and develop the habit of reflecting after learning. |
