The 2011 National Compulsory Education Mathematics curriculum standard proposed that should train the student's inference ability, will run through in the whole mathematics study process,in each kind of teaching content and the teaching link carries on the infiltration. For elementary school students, they also have some mathematical reasoning ability. The numerical inference in this study refers to a method of inference by means of pure numerical value. The "value" here refers to "no unit number",which is a combination of abstract numbers. The process of numerical inference can be regarded as the process of extrapolating another unknown result or conclusion by one or more known facts(including the definition of the operation, the law,the nature and the specific operation law,etc.).Algebra is the generalization of arithmetic, algebra learning is based on arithmetic learning,so this paper from the point of numerical calculation,to explore in the primary school in the lower stage of learning, students how to use the method has been learned to solve the new problem of computing? In the course of calculation, how can the junior students generalize the general conclusion from conjecture to solve the new computational problem? Are there differences in the numerical reasoning ability of junior students?Through the research of numerical inference,it builds a bridge for early algebra to enter primary school, cultivates early algebra thinking from the lower grades, and provides a good foundation for students to go to Algebra learning field smoothly. This article focuses on the elementary school early grades.Take the N and F primary school in Shanghai as an example, select grade one and two students to conduct semi-open interviews to understand the thinking process and reasoning performance of the lower grade students in solving numerical reasoning problems, and the paper sums up the current status of the development of numerical reasoning skills for lower grade students. After research and analysis, the following conclusions are drawn: 1.Low-grade students will use numerical methods that have already been studied for reasoning, which are expressed as follows:(1)Ten-based numerical reasoning will be carried out.(2)Numerical reasoning based on the laws of operation and operation rules will be performed.2.Lower-grade students can start inductive reasoning based on specific conditions. The concrete manifestation is that the law in the calculation process can be discovered and summarized, and the discovered lawscan be used to solve the new calculation problem. The generalized generalization is less common in the generalized language expression.3.There is a difference in the numerical reasoning ability between students in grade one and two.
