| Mental models are the result of scientific thinking based on individual cognition that characterizes the outside world in different ways.At present, there have been some researches on the training of scientific thinking mainly in high middle school, but relatively little in junior middle school. However, junior middle school students are in the cognitive development stage of transition from perceptual thinking to logical thinking, which is the key period to cultivate scientific thinking. Therefore, the introduction of mental model in physics teaching of junior middle school students is an indispensable key step to improve the training of scientific thinking of junior middle school students.Based on the mental model level and the scientific conceptual model level, this paper constructs the advanced frame of the mental model of the middle school thermal concept system. The same group of students were tested twice on the conceptual mental model of junior high heat, the validity of the advanced framework was validated by using the Rasch model and SPSS,and teaching practices were carried out.Through teaching,it is found that the students’ mental model is in line with the law of cognitive development of junior middle school students.Students go through experience, mapping, association, system integration, and innovative mental model progression path to achieve thermal conceptual mental model progression and scientific thinking ability. The results show that this paper studies the mental model of junior middle school heat concept based on the theory of advanced learning, and provides different perspectives for optimizing the cultivation of scientific thinking. The advanced path provides reference basis for perfecting physics classroom teaching in junior middle school and depicting the development of junior middle school students’ thinking to some extent, the practice path can reflect the development trajectory of students’ scientific thinking and provide a teaching reference for the training of core literacy in stages. |
