TPRS teaching method is a new foreign language teaching method proposed by Spanish teacher Blaine Ray in 1990.In order to improve the tedium and interest of students,the teaching method integrates story-telling into the classroom as the basis of deriving language knowledge.In recent years,TPRS teaching method has been gradually used in online Chinese teaching,which has effectively solved some problems in online classroom.Based on the author’s experience,this study applies TPRS teaching method to the online Chinese teaching of Hong Kong and Macao children whose first language is not Chinese.At the same time,in the practice of TPRS on-line Chinese teaching for children in Hong Kong and Macao to reflect on the advantages and shortcomings of TPRS on-line Chinese teaching for children in Hong Kong and Macao,according to the shortcomings of the proposed TPRS on-line Chinese teaching for children in Hong Kong and Macao.In the part of introduction,this paper expounds the reason of choosing the topic,the purpose,significance,method,content and literature review.The first chapter introduces the TPRS teaching method,the related concepts of online Chinese teaching and the relevant theoretical basis of this study;The second chapter summarizes the current situation and characteristics of online Chinese teaching for Hong Kong and Macao Children and analyzes the feasibility of applying TPRS to online Chinese teaching for Hong Kong and Macao children The third chapter applies the TPRS teaching method to the online Chinese teaching of Hong Kong and Macao children,presents the concrete teaching design and the curriculum case,and carries on the teaching evaluation according to the result analysis and the evaluation feedback;The fourth chapter reflects on the teaching effect according to the teaching evaluation,sums up the advantages and disadvantages of the TPRS teaching method applied in this field,and puts forward some corresponding solutions,that is to say,we should use diversified teaching methods to reduce the overuse of instruction when teachers use TPRS teaching method,analyze students’ situation and formulate teaching contents to reduce the fear of difficulties,and use teaching platform to improve teaching effect.The sixth part is the conclusion.It puts forward the research conclusion and deficiency,and expresses the expectation of applying TPRS teaching method to online Chinese teaching.
