At the same time,with the rapid development of socio-economy,people’s material life is getting richer,but the spiritual world is becoming more and more empty.In order to obtain more benefits and enjoy a luxurious life,more and more people fall into spiritual confusion and lose the meaning of life.Especially in secondary school,the formation of a vision of life,the world and values becomes more and more important.Students at this age are very vulnerable to external influences,have little sense of right and wrong and little sense of life.At the same time,the fragility of life is highlighted by the increasing number of dangerous elements in society and the threat that disasters pose to people’s lives.The question of how to better protect life has become an important issue in modern society,and life education for students is also an issue that society,schools and families should focus on.This study was conducted from the perspective of valuing life.A total of 268 students and 65 teachers from H High School in Jining were the subjects of the study,which was conducted through questionnaires and interviews.The questionnaire was divided into a student questionnaire and a teacher questionnaire.The student questionnaire was based on the Meaning of Life Scale,revised and compiled by Taiwanese scholar Song Qiu-rong,and was used as a research instrument to explore the meaning of life of students at Secondary School H.The teacher questionnaire was based on the Meaning of Life Scale,revised and compiled by Taiwanese scholar Song Qiu-rong.The teacher questionnaire was based on the Guide to Life Security and Health Education in the Curriculum and Materials for Primary and Secondary Education and other related publications.This questionnaire was combined with interviews with teachers,students and parents in order to investigate the current situation and problems related to the implementation of life education in secondary schools,organise and analyse the problems,and propose practical solutions to the problems according to the school situation.In this study,SPSS 26.0 software was used to statistically analyse the data collected from the students.The results revealed that the students of Secondary School H had low sense of life and inadequate perception of life.With regard to the teachers’ survey,the data was statistically analysed using Excel software in this study.The results of the questionnaires and interviews revealed the following problems in the implementation of life education in H secondary schools: teachers do not have a complete understanding of the purpose of life education;teachers do not have a comprehensive understanding of the content of life education;the topics of life education implementation in schools are not diversified;the methods of life education implementation in schools are not adapted to the needs of students and teachers.The implementation methods of life education in schools are not diversified and the evaluation methods of life education in schools are not complete.These problems are analysed from the point of view of their causes and practical suggestions are made at school,family and society level.
