With the promulgation of the "Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education"(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standards)in 2022,the teaching reform of art courses in junior high schools is facing new opportunities and challenges.The new curriculum standard clearly states in the teaching suggestions for curriculum implementation: "Pay attention to perceptual experience,create an open learning environment...guide students to get close to nature and experience life...encourage students to perceive images in the environment,burst into creativity,use artistic language and methods to express natural beauty,social beauty,and technological beauty,experience the joy of creation and self realization,and improve practical,creative,and aesthetic abilities." Therefore,art teaching based on context will become increasingly important.The application of situational teaching in art classes in junior high schools actually fully reflects the "student centered" approach,which focuses on students’ growth needs and learning experience,and can more stimulate students’ emotions and experiences,helping them understand knowledge.In the art discipline,illustration is a subject between painting and design.In the process of creating illustration,students need to fully exert their emotions,carefully observe life,and boldly create.Using situational teaching in illustration teaching is obviously conducive to stimulating students’ inspiration for creating illustrations,and it can also play a significant role in helping students more effectively master,internalize,and apply knowledge.Therefore,the author explores the situational teaching of the illustration course in the art class of junior high school.That is,focusing on the two major concepts of "student-centered creation of teaching situations" and "the relationship between the teaching of the relevant content of illustration and the life situation",we will focus on exploring the situational teaching path of illustration in the art class of junior high school.The article is divided into six parts.The introduction part mainly expounds the research background,purpose and significance,literature review,research ideas and methods of this paper;The first chapter combs the concepts of illustration and situational teaching in this paper and the theoretical basis supporting the paper,namely constructivist learning theory and situational cognitive theory;The second chapter clarifies the value and significance of the application of situational teaching to the content of illustration in the art class of junior high school;The third chapter,combing the art textbooks of Renmei edition,Xiangmei edition and Renjiao edition,analyzes the feasibility of integrating into situational teaching;The fourth chapter focuses on the situational teaching path of illustration in the art class of junior high school;The fifth chapter designs the unit teaching case of the application of situational teaching in the illustration-related courses of the junior high school art class with the example of "handdrawn line images-talking pictures".
