Research On Cai Yuanpei's Moral Education Thought And Its Modern Enlightenmen

As a master of educational ideology,Cai Yuanpei was once praised by Chairman Mao as a "leader in the academic world and a model in the world".His educational ideology was formed in the context of national salvation,and education to save the country has always been his goal.His moral education ideology combines excellent traditional Chinese culture with Western ideas of freedom and equality,forming a unique theoretical system of moral education.His educational ideas played an important enlightening role in the education of Peking University at that time and modern society.With the arrival of the 5G era,the educational environment is constantly impacted by internet culture,and citizens are prone to imbalanced moral cognition and behavior.Therefore,whether at the individual,school,or social level,moral education is facing new challenges and problems.Based on this,firstly,based on the relevant research results of domestic and foreign scholars,this article starts from the background of the formation of Cai Yuanpei’s moral education ideology,and summarizes the theoretical origins of his moral education ideology through the analysis of historical,educational,and cultural backgrounds.Secondly,based on this,the theoretical system of Cai Yuanpei’s moral education ideology is sorted out and practical approaches are proposed.By organizing and analyzing the goals,content,principles,and methods in the theoretical system of moral education,a multi-dimensional practical approach is proposed.Once again,an objective evaluation of Cai Yuanpei’s moral education ideology is conducted,starting from the progress and limitations of his moral education ideology,with the aim of exploring the positive factors in Cai Yuanpei’s moral education ideology.Finally,we will combine the essence of the moral education thought obtained from the research with the modern moral education situation,analyze the modern value of its moral education thought,and draw enlightenment with the significance of the times.
