Women's perfect personality thought of Cai Yuanpei came into being in the end of the 19^th century and the early of the 20^th, which matched with the flourishing movement of women's liberation and reflected women's awareness of the modern personality. The author pointed out that the absence of women's sane personality in the feudal society, the increasing crisis of Chinese nation and the flourishing movement of women's liberation all inspired women's awareness of the sound modern personality. On the base of the equality thought and the human nature theory, the thought of women's perfect personality finally came into being.The second part detailed the essential meaning of Mr. Cai's thought on women's perfect personality and analyzed the academic features of his theory. Though his thought changed a lot with the development of the society the core of it was the same. That was to realize the general development of women and endow them with the responsibility awareness to the society and patriotism spirit to the country.The third part introduced the application methods of the women's perfect personality thought. As a great educator Cai Yuanpei always considered education was the foremost approach to shape women's sane personality. So the education right must be shared by women equally. And the content of education must be various.The fourth part made a brief comment on Cai's thought. As the author pointed out, the thought of women's perfect personality met the trend of the times and advanced the development of women's liberation movement. So it certainly should be paid great praise in spite of some disadvantages and limitations.
