With the rapid development of science and technology,visual images spread throughout our lives."Visibility and visual understanding and interpretation have become important dimensions of contemporary cultural production,communication and acceptance activities",which ultimately affect the expression of art and aesthetic characteristics.As an auditory art,the visual features of music gradually stand out in this background,and the music visualization combining visual and auditory comes into being,which also makes the expression of music tend to develop in a diversified way.Since the intuitive visual presentation in music visualization can enhance the understanding and perception of music,its application in music teaching can help students understand and perceive relatively abstract and complex music works,and improve the incomprehensible disadvantages brought by the abstractness of music.Therefore,the application of music visualization teaching can not only enrich music teachers’ teaching means and improve teaching efficiency,but also innovate music teaching thinking based on the rich presentation of multimedia technology,and provide new ideas and more possibilities for our country’s music teaching way reform.Therefore,based on the support of multimedia technology,this paper further explores and researches the visual teaching of music,in order to find more presentation ways of visual teaching of music,and provide a new idea for the innovation and development of music teaching methods.First of all,this paper elaborates on the concepts related to this topic,and systematically discussed the multimedia learning cognitive theory,Dell’s "tower of experience" theory,Gestalt theory involved in this topic research.Based on theoretical learning and guidance,the author uses multimedia technology to explore more ways of presenting music visualization teaching and design related music activities,and applies it to junior high school music classroom.Since junior high school students are in the transition stage from image thinking to abstract thinking,in this transition stage,the concrete image in thinking still plays an important role.It is necessary to make proper use of concrete,intuitive and perceptual experience to complete the transition,and lay a good foundation for music learning in high school music appreciation classes.Therefore,the author selects junior high school students as the research object,uses the music visualization teaching method for teaching practice,records and analyzes the teaching through classroom observation,summarizes the effectiveness and shortcomings of this teaching method in junior high school music classroom teaching,and puts forward suggestions for implementation,hoping to provide inspiration for the teaching of music teachers.
