| The Orff music teaching method is a music teaching method that stimulates children’s imagination and creativity.It uses methods such as rhythm,singing,instrument ensemble,and improvisation to let children start from the essence of music,feel and express music.Its basic concept is that "feeling" is better than "understanding","appeal to emotions,return to humanism".The Orff Music Education Law endows music education with new concepts and methods,and has had a profound impact on education in many countries and regions.This paper attempts to use the Orff music teaching method in the teaching of international Chinese ancient poetry,teaching ancient poetry to overseas Chinese children with a literacy level of 500-1000 words.These students are in the critical period of Language acquisition,have strong cross-cultural communication ability,and have a good Chinese family culture atmosphere.The ancient poetry teaching targeted at them has certain pertinence.This paper takes the Wukong Chinese platform as an example and combines my own practice in teaching ancient poetry to overseas Chinese children and students to explore the teaching of ancient poetry to overseas Chinese children and students.Taking the ancient poem "Watching Lushan Waterfall" of landscape painting and the ancient poem "Climbing Stork Tower" of lyric philosophy as examples,the teaching mode of Orff’s music teaching method in ancient poetry class is applied on this basis.Firstly,use the game method in the Orff teaching method to review and introduce the author of ancient poetry.Then,use the method of voice teaching to perform fancy reading to improve students’ oral proficiency.Next,use painting and pictures to interpret the text.Finally,use singing to understand the poet’s emotions for lyrical and philosophical ancient poetry,and use painting to create and understand the artistic conception of ancient poetry for landscape painting.I hope it can help students understand ancient poetry and feel its charm.By using Orff’s music teaching method in the ancient poetry class,students’ enthusiasm and initiative in class have been greatly improved.Students are more willing to read ancient poetry,which improves the problem of "foreign tune".Students can feel the poet’s feelings and feel the artistic conception of ancient poetry through music.During the teaching process,some problems were also found,such as the teaching subjects only have a certain foundation in listening and speaking,weak reading and writing abilities,difficulty in understanding words and poetry related to traditional culture,low age of learners,and lack of clear purpose in learning Chinese.In response to the problems encountered,this paper proposes some suggestions.The teaching of ancient poetry should be categorized based on its content,with lyrics and philosophical poetry adopting the singing method,and landscape poetry adopting the painting and picture method;Due to differences in students’ cognitive styles,age,and other factors,teachers should flexibly apply the Orff music teaching method;We should attach great importance to the selection of ancient poetry content,and select exemplary,practical,and interesting ancient poetry that students are interested in.This suggestion is only for teaching ancient poetry to overseas Chinese children aged 5-12. |
