| The exercise system,as one of the four systems of language textbooks,is an important part of language textbooks. The exercise system reveals the intention of the editors, implements the key contents of the subject, provides guidance for teachers’ teaching, and is crucial to the development of students’ abilities. The unified version of the middle school language textbook is written by the Ministry of Education, and the accompanying exercise system has changed significantly compared to the R.E.C.version,with more detailed sections and an increase in difficulty and quantity. These changes are challenging for teachers.Whether the exercise system of the new textbook can help teachers prepare lessons, whether teachers can effectively use the exercises to support teaching, and whether the exercises can achieve good teaching results are all issues that need to be studied. This paper takes the exercise system of the unified version of middle school language textbooks as the object of study, and examines it from two aspects: static text and dynamic use. This paper analyzes the ontological content of the exercise system and investigates the current situation of the use of the exercise system in order to make effective suggestions for the writing and use of the exercise system in junior high school language. The first part is an introduction. This part focuses on exploring the research background and importance of the exercise system, understanding the current state of research and future development trends, and identifying research methods and ideas in order to lay the foundation for subsequent research. The second part provides an overview of the textual content of the Unified Edition middle school language textbook exercise system. It identifies the concept, value and function of the exercise system;analyzes the structure level, presentation, knowledge system and ability level of the exercise system, and reveals that the exercise system has problems such as relatively single knowledge and ability and insufficient diversified presentation. The third part builds an assessment framework for the exercise system of the unified version of middle school language textbooks. This paper draws on the theory of assignment design, the model of textbook use and the evaluation system of practice system use to build the framework of practice system evaluation.Through expert consultation, three level 1 indicators of "scientificity, usefulness, and aesthetics" are finally determined. The fourth part investigated the current situation of using the exercise system in the unified version of middle school language textbooks. The questionnaire was prepared according to the evaluation framework, including: questionnaire distribution, questionnaire collection, data analysis, and attribution of results.Firstly, this paper finds that front-line junior high school language teachers approve of the content design of the exercise system, but some of them think that the exercise system is not interesting enough, not testable enough and not rich enough in question types;secondly, the exercise system provides greater convenience for teachers’ teaching, but teachers use exercises in a single way;finally, the exercise system is beneficial to students’ knowledge accumulation and ability training, but in moral education, aesthetic education, and Finally, the practice system is good for students’ knowledge accumulation and ability training, but slightly less effective in moral, aesthetic and emotional development. The fifth part proposes the preparation and use of the exercise system in the unified version of middle school language textbooks.Five suggestions are made for the preparation and revision of the exercise system: enriching the types of knowledge, building an orderly hierarchy, innovating practical contents, enhancing the clarity of instructions, and developing multiple presentation methods.Five recommendations are made for teachers’ use: change the concept of use, integrate into teaching design, integrate extra-curricular resources, design different exercises, and pay attention to learning results. |
