High school students are in an important period of life development, and the tendency to rely on peers has become increasingly obvious since middle school. They are eager to find friends who share their interests with them, want to get more people’s understanding and love, and cultivate and establish interpersonal relationships outside the family.Peer relationship is one of the most basic interpersonal relationships.Peer relationship is the interpersonal relationship formed when individuals deal with people of similar age or psychological development level based on the same interests and needs.Aiming at the problem of influencing factors of peer relationship among high school students, this study adopts the sequential inquiry design of mixed research methods, selects high school students as survey objects, combines the grounded theory of qualitative research with the questionnaire survey of empirical research, and explores the mixed research methods.Study 1 explored the influential factors and their effects of peer relationship among senior high school students through semi-structured interviews.Specifically, the peer nomination method, purposive sampling and snowball sampling were used to select 12 interviewees, and the total interview time was 10 hours. After sorting and classifying the collected data, text data of about 103,000 words were formed. With the help of Nvivo12 Plus and manual coding,a total of 220 level 1 coding nodes were extracted and focused into 48 coding nodes and 12 theoretical coding nodes.Through category analysis and situation analysis,it is summarized into three main core categories. Finally,a bottomup method is adopted to construct the influential factor model of high school students’ peer relationship.Considering the different requirements of qualitative research and empirical research on literature review, this study divides literature review into the latter two parts.Based on Study 1,Study 2 further validated and discussed the impact of two important factors(family function and core self-evaluation)extracted from Study 1 on peer relationship of high school students, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.According to the requirements of the empirical study, firstly,a literature review was made on the core variables of Study 2--family function and core self-evaluation.Then,986 high school students from 3 high schools in Heilongjiang Province and Shanxi Province were randomly distributed questionnaires through a questionnaire survey.A total of 905 valid questionnaires were issued, and the effective questionnaire recovery rate was91.78%.SPSS 26.0 and Amos 24.0 were used for statistical analysis.Comprehensive study Ⅰ and Ⅱ,the following results are obtained:(1)Based on grounded theory,12 factors influencing the peer relationship of high school students are selected to form three modules, which are individual(including emotions, personality traits, cognition, behavior, physiology and academic performance),family(including family rearing style, family function and family structure),and school(including class environment, teacher education and distance).(2)The overall level of peer relationship among high school students is good, with significant differences in school category, grade, family location and family structure; There are significant differences in family function in school category, gender, family location, grade and family structure.Core self-evaluation has significant differences in gender, family location, class cadre and family structure.(3)High school students’ family function, core self-evaluation and peer relationship are significantly correlated.Family function and core self-evaluation have positive predictive effects on peer relationship.(4)Family functioning influences peer relationships to some extent through the mediating effect of core self-evaluation.
