Research On The Offensive And Defensive Characteristics Of Modern Center And Traditional Center In Basketball

The essence of the research on the offensive and defensive characteristics of modern center and traditional center is to provide reference for the development of China’s basketball center.As an important position on the basketball court,the level of the center’s competitive ability is not only an important factor for winning the game,but also an important embodiment of the overall competitive strength of the basketball team.Since basketball has become a formal competitive event,the center has played an important role in the development,not only constantly changing the rules of basketball competition,but also promoting the development and evolution of technology and tactics.At present,the world basketball game has entered a new stage of development.The pace of the game is accelerating,the competition is becoming increasingly fierce,and the technical and tactical changes are becoming more diverse.This has not only changed the way and characteristics of the use of offensive and defensive technology of the center forward players,but also put forward higher requirements for the physical conditions and competitive ability of the center forward players.In addition,it has also triggered an industrial debate between the traditional center and the modern center.Therefore,a scientific understanding of the impact of the development of modern basketball on the center and the difference between the traditional center and the modern center in the use of technology and tactics will not only help to clarify the technical and competitive characteristics of the contemporary center athletes,but also help to provide a useful reference for the training of Chinese basketball center athletes.Using the methods of literature,expert interview,comparative analysis,video observation,mathematical statistics,etc.,this paper takes the offensive and defensive characteristics of the modern center and the traditional center in basketball as the research object,and takes the representative characters of the traditional center,O’Neill,Yao Ming,Olajuwon,and the representative characters of the modern center,Enbide,Yokic,Downes,etc.,as the analysis object,and carries out a systematic analysis of the30 representative games of these six athletes,In order to clarify the difference between the offensive and defensive characteristics of the traditional center and the modern center,and on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of the use of technology and tactics,summarizing the offensive and defensive characteristics and the causes of formation,this paper puts forward the countermeasures for the training of Chinese basketball center talents.The research results show that:(1)Modern center shooting methods are more balanced and diverse,and the range of shooting areas continues to increase;The number of assists per game and the assist rate are significantly higher than those of traditional centers;The way of passing the ball is more diverse,and the number of passes is also significantly increased;The difference in average steals between modern and traditional centers is not significant,but the predictive ability of modern centers is better than that of traditional centers;"The ability to block shots under the basket is significantly due to the traditional center,which has a high defensive threat,strong defensive ability,and a further expanded defensive role on the field.".The number of backcourt rebounds is significantly higher than that of traditional centers,reflecting the stronger comprehensive ability of modern centers to rebound;The modern center breakthrough technology is more diverse and balanced,and also pays more attention to skill;Modern center forwards have better coordination abilities on the court than traditional centers,and have certain advantages in pre assist,one shot assist,and free throw assist.(2)Compared with traditional center forwards,modern center forwards have the main characteristics of attack and defense: they have more diverse attacking methods,achieving offensive scoring through comprehensive techniques,diverse playing methods,and flexible steps in a combination of hard and soft confrontation;Move faster on the field,creating opportunities and space for attack with speed through active and targeted movements on the field;The space for activities on the field is wider,and the space and area for attack and defense are increased through the expansion of the field movement area;The technical and tactical cooperation has become richer,and the technical and tactical application has become more comprehensive,creating more opportunities for attack and defense;The defensive coordination function is more obvious,and the expanded defensive area enhances the cooperation with teammates,enhancing the strength and intensity of defense.(3)The main reasons for the differences in the use of offensive and defensive techniques between modern and traditional centers in basketball are as follows: the increasingly fierce competitive confrontation in basketball,and the increase in the speed of offensive and defensive conversion;The continuous improvement of the understanding of the competitive nature of basketball has promoted the transformation of the tasks and requirements of the center forward on the court;The development and progress of basketball techniques and tactics require that the center forward’s skills be more comprehensive and more able to adapt to the requirements of the game;The continuous improvement of the physical condition and competitive level of basketball center players has forced changes in the competitive ability structure of center players;The development demand for the appreciation of basketball forces center forward players to develop more diverse offensive techniques and adapt to the requirements of fast-paced games.(4)The research proposes countermeasures such as strengthening the scientific research level of basketball in China,conducting diversified cooperation with powerful basketball players,improving the training system of center forward athletes in China,improving the scientific training level of
