Abstract/Summary:
Equality relations and inequality relations are the most basic quantitative relations in mathematics,and they are the basis for constructing equations and inequalities.Inequality is one of the most basic concepts of mathematics,it plays an important role in the college entrance examination.Its implied inequality relationship has an instrumental role in solving other mathematical problems.In the process of high school mathematics learning,inequality,as a preliminary knowledge,has the function of connecting the past and the future.However,there are too many definitions and properties involved in this chapter,which is highly applicable.To strengthen the examination of students’ mathematical thoughts and methods,there is a high demand for students’ thinking ability,numeration ability and problem analysis ability,so that some students have certainly difficulties in learning inequality.This requires us to face up to this problem,analyze and sort out the causes of the difficulties,and find feasible countermeasures to solve the difficulties,so as to improve their learning efficiency.First of all,this paper consults the literature related to learning theory and inequality teaching.Based on the theories of educational psychology and relevant research on learning difficulties,this paper defines the concept of inequality learning difficulties and establishes an inequality learning difficulty model according to psychological process and Newman’s error hierarchy theory.Secondly,according to the theoretical basis of learning difficulties,combined with the teaching practice,high school students inequality learning difficulties psychological questionnaire and knowledge test papers are compiled and 138 Grade 10 students are surveyed on their inequality learning difficulties by questionary survey,according to which the causes of difficulties are analyzed.Thirdly,it is concluded that the inequality learning difficulties of senior high school students can be roughly classified into psychological and operational aspects,among which the psychological disorders are divided into cognitive disorders,emotional disorders and willpower disorders,and operational errors are divided into reading comprehension errors,conversion errors,processing skills errors and coding errors.Finally,in allusion to the difficulties existing in inequality learning of high school students,combined with the cause analysis of difficulties,corresponding solutions are proposed from the psychological and operational aspects,and the strategies to overcome the psychological barriers are as follows:(1)Arousing students’ interests and enhancing their confidence in learning.(2)Deepening concept understanding and cultivating students’ memory ability.(3)Paying attention to the development and education of will and cultivating students’ good learning habits.(4)Paying attention to the cultivation of students’ reading comprehension ability.Besides,the strategies to solve operational problems include:(1)Paying attention to the cultivation of students’ reading comprehension ability.(2)Attaching importance to the connection between knowledge and cultivating students’ problem-solving ability.(3)Attaching importance to the teaching of mathematical thinking methods and improving students’ flexibility in the application of inequality.(4)Focusing on teaching reflection and cultivating students’ self-management ability.
