Difficulties in mathematics teaching can be defined as mathematical concepts,rules and conclusions that are difficult for students to understand and accept,or skills and techniques that are difficult to master.For teachers and students,the handling of difficult points in mathematics teaching is both a challenge and an opportunity.This article uses the literature research method,case analysis method,and investigation research method to study the causes and countermeasures of the difficulties in junior middle school mathematics teaching.The first chapter summarizes the research background,analysis the research status,put forward questions,methods and meanings of the research.The second chapter introduce the concept of teaching difficulties and puts forward the theoretical basis of this article writing.The third chapter takes the teaching difficulties in seventh grade mathematics as an example,and develops a questionnaire based on the seventh grade mathematics textbook(People's Education Press),the Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)and the teaching reference books.Conducted research on students and teachers,it is determined that the teaching difficulties of teachers and students in seventh grade mathematics are mainly "absolute value","mixed operation of rational number","actual problem and linear equation","comparison and operation of Angle","property of parallel line","parallel line and its judgement" and so on.The fourth chapter,according to the survey results and the existing literature research,the causes of Mathematics Teaching Difficulty in Middle Schools are sorted out into the following three aspects:(1)Learning content : Learning content abstract;Mathematical concepts are similar;The change of learning content while enter junior middle school from primary school;Mathematical rigor.(2)Student aspects : Students foundation is not solid;Students ' thinking ability is weak;Students lack of life experience;Students are not interested in learning.(3)Teachers : The awareness level of teachers is not high.After determining the causes of the difficulties,the corresponding countermeasures were put forward and the feasibility of these countermeasures is verified by specific teaching cases:(1)Learning content : Visualized abstract concepts,skilled abstract methods,naturalized abstract language;Analyze concepts and strengthen practice;Train students' mathematical ability,strengthen the connection between primary school and junior high school;Teachers focus on demonstration and students strengthen training.(2)Students: Tamp knowledge foundation and cultivate problem-solving habits;Communicate thinking process,permeate thought method;Creating situation in relation to reality,student-centered and teacher-led;Tntegrating mathematical story,attaching importance to mathematical practice and taking effective incentive measures.(3)Teachers: Clear teaching objectives,improve the professional development of teachers.
