Writing,as an important application method for expressing emotions and written language,to a certain extent restricts the development level of students’ Chinese literacy.How to awaken students’ writing enthusiasm,stimulate their expression desire,effectively improve students’ writing ability,and gradually make writing a conscious behavior in students’ hearts is a question worth pondering and researching.Ye Cangcen(1904-1993)was the only middle school Chinese language textbook and teaching method professor in China from the 1950s to the 1980s.His practical experience in teaching,learning,and research has made his writing teaching philosophy an important presence in the history of Chinese language teaching in China.Since graduating from the Department of Chinese Language at Beijing Normal University in 1932,Mr.Ye Cangcen has embarked on a journey of teaching Chinese language.Over fifty years of teaching and research work have laid a practical foundation for his Chinese language teaching ideas.Ye Cangcen’s teaching view of writing originated from years of teaching practice,and his writing ideas went through a process from practice to theory and then to practice.He has been dealing with Chinese all his life.He has never left Chinese all his life.He has absorbed and used the essence of Chinese teachers for reference in the front-line teaching work,and formed a systematic and practical writing teaching view,which has important reference significance for guiding the current writing teaching.Ye Cangcen’s writing teaching view has its unique formation background and development basis.Its writing teaching concept is formed in the process of the influence of the social era background,the promotion of Chinese teaching reform,and the thinking of its own teaching practice.It is the product of the interaction between the times and practice.Ye Cangcen’s perspective on writing teaching revolves around the goal of practical writing teaching,the textbook of seeking excellence in writing teaching,the training of improving efficiency in writing teaching,and the evaluation and correction of writing teaching that emphasizes people.In terms of writing purpose,Mr.Ye Cangcen emphasizes three aspects:being close to oneself,being close to life,and being close to practicality.From being close to oneself to clarifying the writing purpose,and then transitioning to being close to life to obtain writing materials,and finally achieving the goal of being close to practicality to obtain writing ability and achieve language consciousness.In terms of writing textbooks,Mr.Ye Cangcen advocates for excellence.On the basis of sorting and comparing various versions of textbooks,he proposes that the arrangement of textbooks should be systematic and comprehensive,the selection of textbooks should be "diverse in genres and broad in themes",and the selection of textbooks should focus on ideological education.In terms of writing teaching and training,Mr.Ye Cangcen pursues practical results and builds an effective training system from the principles,methods,content,and process of training.In terms of writing teaching evaluation,Mr.Ye Cangcen insists on putting people at the center,pursuing the effectiveness of evaluation and the method of evaluation.Ye Cangcen’s writing teaching view is developed by inheriting traditional writing teaching experience,absorbing modern advanced ideological and cultural content,and combining frontline teaching experience.It has important reference value for guiding current writing teaching.In terms of writing teaching objectives,we need to focus on"people",achieve the goal of having people in mind,and play the role of students as the main body;We need to focus on "using" and advocate for applying what we have learned,writing for practical needs.In writing teaching materials,the textbook requires both "breadth" and a wide variety of selected articles,emphasizing the timeliness and classicality of the selected articles;Want to be ’beautiful’,pursue both literary quality and beauty,and add writing unit model examples.In writing teaching and training,it is necessary to prioritize language and promote effective expression among students;Train thinking and promote the development of thinking quality;Pay attention to writing style and strengthen teaching of writing style;Overall consideration,emphasizing equal emphasis on knowledge and ability;Develop a plan and conduct hierarchical and progressive training.In the evaluation of writing teaching,attention should be paid to the pertinence and timeliness of the evaluation.Although Ye Cangcen’s perspective on writing teaching has certain limitations,it cannot be denied that he has made unique contributions to the cause of Chinese language education.Therefore,current writing teaching should focus on its value,avoid its limitations,and critically inherit.
