As the times advance,the importance of knowledge and talent becomes increasingly prominent,and the status and role of education and teachers become increasingly prominent.The construction of the teaching staff in the new era should focus on improving literacy and highlighting the cultivation of core competencies for teachers.The core competence of a homeroom teacher is the deepening and development of the teacher’s core competence,and is a special aspect of the teacher’s core competence.The construction of the class teacher team in the new era should highlight the cultivation of core competencies of class teachers.This study uses literature research,questionnaire survey,and interview methods to investigate the current status of core literacy of junior high school homeroom teachers,in order to enhance their core literacy and promote their professional development.This study takes the core literacy of junior high school homeroom teachers as the theoretical basis,and based on reviewing relevant literature,proposes the constituent elements of the core literacy of junior high school homeroom teachers,including planning class development,creating class culture,leading classroom teaching,guiding student development,and coordinating educational relationships.A survey questionnaire on the core literacy of junior high school homeroom teachers was developed and distributed to junior high school homeroom teachers in D city,S province,Using SPSS statistical software to analyze questionnaire data,it was found that the main problems with the core competencies of junior high school homeroom teachers include the need for improvement in planning class development literacy,low guidance for student development literacy,and insufficient coordination of educational relationship literacy.The reasons were analyzed from the levels of education administrative departments,schools,and homeroom teachers,including the imperfect system of junior high school homeroom teachers,and the imperfect curriculum of homeroom teachers’ education The incentive mechanism for middle school homeroom teachers is not sound;At the school level,there is a high workload of middle school homeroom teachers,an imperfect evaluation system for middle school homeroom teachers,and insufficient emphasis on school-based training;At the level of class teachers,there is a lack of understanding of their core competencies and an insufficient internal motivation for self-improvement.Based on the above,this study proposes strategies for improving the core literacy of junior high school homeroom teachers from the following three levels.The education administrative department level includes formulating standards for the core literacy of junior high school homeroom teachers,setting up homeroom teacher majors,optimizing pre service education courses,improving the treatment of junior high school homeroom teachers,and establishing a junior high school homeroom teacher rank system;At the school level,it includes clarifying the responsibilities of middle school homeroom teachers,reducing workload,improving evaluation systems,and conducting school-based training;At the level of a homeroom teacher,it includes enhancing one’s sense of job identity,strengthening theoretical knowledge of core competencies,and improving one’s self reflection ability. |
