In recent years,the Internet has become an important part of secondary school students’ learning life,and while the Internet has brought convenience and changes to secondary school students’ learning,it has also triggered cyberbullying.Cyberbullying is a type of cyber-aggressive behavior that has received attention from scholars in recent years,and exploring various influencing factors and consequence variables of cyberbullying among secondary school students is of practical guidance for enriching and improving related theories as well as for prevention and intervention work of cyberbullying.This study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to examine the characteristics and structure of cyberbullying costs among secondary school students and to explore the relationship between cyberbullying and parenting styles,loneliness and cyberbullying costs.First,through in-depth interviews and coding,this paper summarizes the specific dimensions of cyberbullying costs among secondary school students;second,this paper uses psychological measurement methods to develop the "Secondary School Students’ Cyberbullying Costs Questionnaire";examines the characteristics of secondary school students’ cyberbullying,their bullying costs,parenting styles,and loneliness,and explores their interrelationships and influence mechanisms The questionnaire was developed to examine the characteristics of cyberbullying and its costs,parenting styles,and loneliness,and to explore their interrelationships and influence mechanisms.Exploratory factor analysis,validating factor analysis,correlation analysis,ANOVA,and regression analysis were conducted by coding and analyzing the interview data of 10 secondary school students and questionnaires of 882 secondary school students,and the results showed that.1.The four dimensions of the cost of cyberbullying(direct cost,psychological cost,punishment cost and interpersonal cost)of secondary school students were confirmed through interviews and analysis of rooting theory,and the "Cost of Cyberbullying Questionnaire for Secondary School Students" was developed.2.The "Cost of Cyberbullying Questionnaire for Secondary School Students" has good internal consistency reliability,content validity,indicating that the questionnaire can effectively measure the cost of cyberbullying among secondary school students.3.The overall incidence of cyberbullying among secondary school students is not high,and it is at a moderate to low level.4.Emotional warm parenting was significantly negatively related to loneliness,cyberbullying,and significantly positively related to bullying costs;overprotective parenting and parental rejection were significantly positively related to loneliness,cyberbullying,and significantly negatively related to cyberbullying costs;loneliness was significantly positively related to cyberbullying,significantly negatively related to cyberbullying costs,and bullying costs were significantly negatively related to cyberbullying.5.Rejective and emotionally warm parenting styles had a direct predictive effect on cyberbullying and could influence cyberbullying through the partial mediating effect of loneliness;overprotective parenting styles had a direct predictive effect on cyberbullying but could not influence cyberbullying through loneliness.6.The moderating effect test showed that cyberbullying cost played a moderating role between loneliness and cyberbullying.Cyberbullying cost had a significant negative relationship with cyberbullying.
