With the rapid arrival of the intelligent era artificial intelligence education has become a research hotspot in the field of education.In the promulgation of the National Mediumand Long-Term Scientific and Technological Development Program(2006-2020),it is proposed to strengthen the basic theory and application research of artificial intelligence in the field of education.At the same time,the new curriculum standards issued in 2022 indicate that artificial intelligence technology is taken as the core content of information technology education,and it is clearly required that primary and secondary school students should have the ability to use and implement common artificial intelligence algorithms.However,the development of artificial intelligence in China is relatively late,and the artificial intelligence education in the basic education stage starts relatively late.At present,there is still a relatively complete curriculum standard and curriculum objective of artificial intelligence,and there is a lack of systematic scientific theoretical basis in the selection of curriculum content,teaching design and implementation.This research is about the development and teaching practice of the school-based course "Machine Learning" in primary schools based on graphical programming.The main work of this paper is as follows:Based on a large number of literature studies,this paper elaborates the background of graphical courses and artificial intelligence courses,and systematically combs the relevant researches at home and abroad.The demand of teachers and students for developing schoolbased curriculum in W Primary School in Y City was investigated by means of questionnaire survey.The author combined Compulsory Education Information Technology Curriculum Standards(2022 edition)and East China Normal University and Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory to compile Artificial Intelligence Curriculum Standards for primary and secondary schools to jointly determine the curriculum objectives of this school-based course of Machine Learning,including the teaching objectives of machine learning-related teaching content and the needs analysis of teachers and students.According to the feedback data of questionnaires and interviews and the cognitive rules of students,the teaching content is determined.In terms of the selection of teaching content,it is divided into five parts:introduction,basic,advanced,advanced and ethical,and the corresponding teaching design is given.In terms of curriculum evaluation,questionnaire survey and interview are used to conduct corresponding evaluation,which is used to guide the further improvement and improvement of the school-based curriculum of Machine Learning in primary schools.The research shows that the school-based course "Machine Learning" in primary school based on graphical programming improves the students’ understanding of machine learning and the applied principles and technologies,optimizes the students’ learning experience,and provides cases for the basic stage of artificial intelligence teaching.
