| Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China has released new development concepts such as "cultural confidence" and "Chinese national community",and General Secretary Xi Jinping has clearly pointed out that:"Cultural identity is the deepest level of identity,the root of ethnic unity and the soul of ethnic harmony." China is a unified multi-ethnic country with a long history and cultural heritage,and for a long time,people of all ethnic groups have worked together to create a Chinese culture that is the envy of the world.Minority literature is an important part of Chinese literature,and it reflects the diversity and inclusiveness of Chinese culture.Therefore,exploring the literature of ethnic minorities in junior middle school Chinese textbooks of PEP edition and unified edition can help promote "cultural identity",build "cultural confidence" and forge a "sense of Chinese national community ".The object of this thesis is to study the junior middle school Chinese textbooks of the PEP edition and unified edition.Using the methods of textual analysis,econometric statistics,comparative analysis and documentary analysis,the research is conducted in the following four aspects:firstly,the specific selection of different editions of textbooks;secondly,the characteristics of changes in the selection of minority literature in different editions of textbooks;thirdly,the factors affecting the changes in the selection of minority literature;and fourthly,the implications of the changes in the selection of minority literature for textbook development.The author uses the statistical method to analyse the factors influencing the selection of minority literature in textbooks from five perspectives:title,quantity,genre,ethnicity and theme.Based on this,the comparative analysis method reveals that the current unified junior middle school Chinese textbooks have the characteristics of reasonable content setting,which is in line with the law of students’ physical and mental development;stable but changing titles,which reflect the characteristics of the selected texts in the new era;excavation of exemplary texts,which focus on the cultivation of patriotism;and reasonable supplementary selected texts,which include works on ethnic minority themes.Finally,the author tries to suggest that the selection system should be improved to enhance the"systematicity" of the selected texts;enrich the genre of the selected texts to emphasize the"balance" of the selected texts;update the sources of the selected texts to enhance the"diversity" of the selected texts;grasp the value orientation to highlight the "diversity" of the selected texts.The author would like to make four suggestions:to improve the selection system and enhance the "systematicity" of the selected texts;to enrich the selection of texts and emphasize the "balance" of the selected texts;to update the sources of the selected texts and enhance the "diversity" of the selected texts;to grasp the value orientation and highlight the "ethnicity" of the selected texts. |
