| Since the Ministry of Education issued the "General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)," research on the cultivation of students’ subject core literacy has been emerging,and the teaching design and teaching methods for implementing subject core literacy have been continuously innovated.The unit teaching design requires teachers to overview the teaching materials,screen the teaching content and carry out the overall design.This teaching design conforms to the internal logic of knowledge,helps students better understand the teaching content,and adapts to the requirements of the ’new curriculum standard’ to cultivate students’ core literacy as the teaching goal.The UbD(Understanding by Design)model advocates ’meaningful learning,understanding first’,and injects fresh blood into the research of unit instructional design with the reverse design idea of ’goal-evaluationactivity’.In order to explore whether unit instructional design combined with UbD model can help improve students’ classroom performance and promote the development of their core literacy,this study first collected and sorted out the current situation of unit instructional design and UbD model at home and abroad through literature review,and then defined the core concepts of unit,unit instructional design and UbD model,and explained the relevant theories to provide theoretical support for this study.Through the online questionnaire survey of first-line high school teachers,the results showed that teachers had a certain understanding of core literacy,and agreed with teaching design and its importance to the development of students’core literacy;teachers were more aware of ’unit instructional design’ and were willing to apply’unit instructional design based on UbD model’ to teaching.On the basis of investigation,the correlation and feasibility of "high school biology unit teaching design based on UbD model"were further discussed.The fifth chapter of the compulsory 2 ’genetics and evolution’(2019 edition)of ordinary high school biology was selected to carry out teaching design research in units and apply it to the biology teaching practice of the first grade of high school.The results showed that the students in the experimental class were more active and active in classroom listening,autonomous learning and classroom interaction,and could better achieve their learning goals.Their total post-test scores,life concepts and scientific thinking were significantly higher than those of the control class.Therefore,this study believed that the teaching design of high school biology unit based on UbD model has the positive significance of improving students’ classroom performance,taking into account students’ improvement of performance and development of core literacy.However,teachers also need to improve their professional quality and made full use of modern educational means.Schools and society should also make corresponding efforts to better play their teaching effects and promote the implementation of students’ core literacy tasks. |
