| The "General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)" explicitly states should reflect advanced educational ideas and concepts,focus on teaching reform in the context of information technology,require teachers to use diverse information technology resources in teaching,and encourage teachers to develop courseware,micro-courses,and other course resources autonomously.The richness of resources and interactive features presented by interactive courseware promotes students’ independent adjustment of learning progress and depth,and cultivates their ability for self-directed learning.Compared with multimedia courseware production software such as Flash and Power Point,Articulate Storyline has obvious advantages in terms of simple operation,strong intuitiveness of the published courseware,strong interactivity,and the ability to be used for online learning on multiple terminal devices,which meets the needs of information technology teaching.This study systematically reviewed the domestic and foreign research status of interactive courseware and Articulate Storyline used in teaching through literature analysis,and found shortcomings in the current practical application of this field,including weak awareness of serving the main purpose of teaching content in the designed interactive courseware and uneven application effects of interactive software.The study clarified the following advantages of using Articulate Storyline for interactive courseware production:friendly interface,easy-to-learn operation,strong interactivity of design elements,strong compatibility of the produced courseware,and the ability to be used on multiple terminal devices.Based on literature research,combined with the characteristics of biology curriculum and curriculum standards,this study proposed principles of interactivity,scientificity,motivation,artistry and repeatability for using this software to produce interactive courseware,as well as the general process of courseware production.And selected the People’s Education Press high school biology compulsory Ⅱ "Gene guide protein synthesis" section of the teaching content as a case.From the perspectives of solving teaching problems,expected courseware effects,courseware production instructions,and design points,the study elaborated the production process of interactive courseware applied in different teaching scenarios and presented the courseware link that can be applied on multiple terminal devices.To verify the practical teaching effect of the courseware,educational experiments were conducted on two parallel classes of high school sophomores in Y City Y High School,and experimental data were collected,processed,and analyzed to explore the role of interactive courseware in cultivating students’ learning initiative,stimulating their interest in learning biology,and optimizing teaching effectiveness.The results of the study showed that the effective use of interactive courseware produced using Articulate Storyline in teaching could improve students’ classroom learning performance,promote students’ interest in learning biology,and improve their attitude towards learning biology to some extent.The data-layered analysis results showed that interactive courseware had a significant effect on improving the academic performance of underachieving students,while the impact on the performance of high-achieving and average students is relatively small.Further interview and questionnaire survey results showed that interactive courseware can stimulate underachieving students’ interest in learning biology,improve their learning confidence,and promote their learning initiative,while average students believe that interactive courseware is helpful for their understanding of concepts,and high-achieving students think that the content of interactive courseware is too basic and not challenging enough. |
