The cultivation of core literacy for Chinese students is a critical element in the implementation of morality and cultivating people,as the new curriculum reform demands.This is clearly stated in "Developing Core Literacy for Chinese Students",correctly grasping the value orientation,linking teaching materials with students’ literacy,reflecting academic ability,and more importantly,reflecting comprehensive qualities such as character,attitude,and values.Cultivating modern middle schoolers with core literacy in chemistry,promoting their self-development from a higher perspective and realm during the educational process,and cultivating those with certain core literacy in the discipline are all requirements of the"Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Junior High School Students(2022Edition)."Cultivating students’ operational ability in chemical experiments,forming basic chemical experimental skills,and designing and completing simple chemical experiments is a fundamental teaching requirement for chemical experiment.It is also a basic element for improving students’ core literacy.In order to further standardize junior high school chemistry experimental teaching activities,cultivate students’ hands-on experimental and exploratory abilities,and improve their core literacy,the research on cultivating junior high school students’ chemical experimental abilities based on core literacy has important theoretical significance and practical application value.A comprehensive investigation and analysis of the 2022 high school is conducted in this article,utilizing junior high school students in a county as the research object.entrance examination chemical experiment operation test,and finds the following problems in the current experimental teaching:students lack hands-on operation,weak chemical experiment ability,students’ core chemical literacy is not high,they cannot fully and correctly understand the concept of change and conservation of matter,particle view and element view,and chemical thinking is lacking,Lack of scientific spirit and environmental awareness.To foster students’ chemical experimental aptitude and bolster their fundamental literacy,Bandura’s observational learning theory,humanism theory,multiple intelligence theory,trial,and other theories should be employed.Error learning theory,experiential learning theory,constructivism theory,and methods and experiences at home and abroad to improve practical abilities based on cultivating students’ core literacy,this article collects survey data from teachers and students’ questionnaires in a county through field visits and experiments,This paper studies the influencing factors of students’ chemical experimental ability,constructs a learning exploratory experiments are used as an exemplar to demonstrate that the aim is to enhance students’ core literacy,and this model proposes teaching techniques and ideas for augmenting experimental capability and fostering core literacy in junior high school students.The results of the exploratory experimental teaching practice carried out indicate that through experimental teaching and students’ practical operations,it is helpful for students to study and understand substances,improve experimental skills and consolidate subject knowledge,enhance chemical thinking and innovation abilities,and improve their core literacy.The actual teaching results have proven that students have significantly improved in learning interest,experimental ability,chemistry scores,and core literacy.The innovation of this article lies in breaking the traditional "speaking,reciting,testing,and evaluating" receptive learning mode.Instead,it uses experimental teaching methods to learn knowledge,master skills,and encourage students to boldly conduct experimental exploration.The experimental methods adopt new technologies,and the experimental content focuses on the daily life.It focuses on cultivating students’ core qualities in chemical thinking,experimental ability,correct values,and good personal character.
