The new curriculum standard points out: Students’ scientific literacy is the need to focus on training. Improving scientific literacy can be achieved by developing students’ experimental ability. For students in junior high school, the chemistry experiment is very important, it can help them acquire the subject knowledge, know the chemistry and the important way of studying. In view of the current experimental teaching in junior middle school students generally exist in the experimental teaching requirements and the actual situation of students, from the perspective of chemical disciplines, to improve students’ ability to change the status quo on a certain basis, while helping students to form the concept of chemistry.In this research, the author uses the method of chemistry discipline and its application in improving students’ ability of experiment, analyzes the current situation of Chemistry Experiment Teaching in junior middle school and the guiding role of the chemistry subject thinking method in junior middle school chemistry experiment teaching.The full text mainly includes seven parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the background, significance, content and method of this thesis. The second part is to study the theory of chemistry, and to review the relevant literature, and to sum up the ideas of chemistry. The third part is to analyze the main problems and the present situation of chemical experiment ability. The fourth part analyzes the guiding role of the chemical discipline in the experimental teaching. The fifth part is the core part of this article, namely the practice research of the students’ chemical experiment ability with the theory of subject thought. The sixth part puts forward the method of judging the students’ experimental ability to improve the students’ ability to achieve the expected results. The seventh part is the reflection of the experimental study.From the theoretical research and practical research, this paper shows that: from the point of view of chemistry, the students’ experimental ability is effective, and it is very good to solve the problems of students’ ability in the experiment teaching. In order to improve the students’ ability of experiment, the application of chemical discipline can help to deepen the understanding of the content of experiments and improve the students’ proficiency in the process of the experiment and improve students’ scientific literacy. At the same time, it is clear that the experimental teaching must be from the subject thinking as a starting point, with the real teaching practice, to play its advantages to improve the efficiency of experimental teaching, and more students in the future development of this discipline to lay a good foundation.
