The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward that "the foundation of educating people lies in morality" and called for "comprehensively implementing the party’s education policy,implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people,and cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physique,aesthetics,and labor".Moral education is the main channel for achieving the goal of "cultivating people with virtue",and is the prerequisite and primary task for cultivating "well-rounded people".The basic education curriculum carries the party’s educational policy and educational ideology,and is a direct embodiment of the national will in the field of education;At the same time,as an important part of the school curriculum system,the basic education curriculum undertakes the dual tasks of teaching subject knowledge and ideological and moral education.Therefore,it is particularly urgent to deepen the research on moral education in the basic education curriculum and give full play to its educational function.Teaching materials are the main carrier of course content,and are an important basis and main tool for course implementation.Therefore,the research on the content analysis and teaching strategy of subject moral education based on the perspective of teaching materials has important theoretical and practical significance for the research of moral education and the guidance of subject moral education practice.Taking the geography textbook of the new edition of the compulsory high school as an example,this paper constructs the moral education index system of geography textbooks from the perspective of textbook structure,based on the theory of comprehensive development,moral development theory and system science theory,and through literature analysis,content analysis,interview method and statistical method,and organizes the moral education content in geography textbooks.It is found that the content of moral education in the new geography textbook is mainly reflected in four aspects: patriotism education,ecological awareness education,materialist dialectical view education and scientific method and attitude education,and the overall characteristics of its presentation form are: patriotism as the main line,materialist dialectical as the basis,ecological consciousness as the guide,practical plate with moral education,knowledge presentation with multiple implicitness,and the framework of combination of pictures and texts.At the same time,an interview was conducted on the implementation status of moral education for geography teachers in frontline middle schools,and it was found that there were four main problems in the current moral education in geography:(1)the attitude of moral education was vague,and the moral education ability needed to be improved;(2)The objectives of moral education are general,and the development process is careless;(3)The content of moral education is biased,and the excavation of teaching materials is superficial;(4)The form of moral education is boring and there is a lack of moral education practice activities.Finally,following the principles of acceptability,innovation and quantitative qualitativeness,the author proposes a strategy for the design of moral education in new geography textbooks,that is,combining core literacy to form moral education goals.Fully explore the teaching materials and display the strengths of each teaching materials;Create a variety of contexts and target teaching;Training geography questions to infiltrate moral education content;Expand local teaching materials and practice moral education outside the classroom.At the same time,suggestions for the teaching implementation of moral education for teachers are put forward:(1)correct the attitude of moral education and improve the ability of moral education;(2)Make up for the shortcomings of moral education and enrich the content of moral education;(3)Innovate the form of moral education and improve the effect of moral education;(4)Pay attention to implicit moral education,and use explicit and implicit teaching materials.
